IVHQ - Key Persons
This was the most amazing trip I have been on. It helped me learn so much about others and about myself. There is truly nothing to be afraid of when in Cambodia.
I took my 3 year old daughter with me and have no regrets. She has grown so much in the last 2 weeks, and was able to experience a new school, new culture and new country and the experience for both of us has been very enriching. Thank you IVHQ for looking after us!
Calamuchita Wine Roads - The Calamuchita Valley offers dreamlike landscapes where the imposing mountain ranges are combined with green valleys. In this environment you will visit several family businesses where high quality, healthy and natural wines are produced while getting to know the history of each wine project and the people who carry it out. This is a great experience for those who want to discover a new place with all of their senses, enjoy good company and learn more about the fascinating world of wine.

I have learned SO much in the 11 weeks that I spent in Medellin. It definitely was intimidating at first, and there were days where work felt really frustrating, but once I got through that first part I had so much fun every day. The kids absolutely embrace everyone they meet, and if you know Spanish (even just a little) you'll be able to connect with them on a much deeper level. The host family was amazing! Their cooking was great and they took me to do tons of things, and I met the extended family multiple times. They made me feel right at home. The volunteer coordinator was awesome! She was almost like a second mom to me while I was there. She checked in on me every couple days and was always available to answer questions I had, even if they were unrelated to IVHQ.
Volunteering in Cambodia has allowed me to be completely immersed in a new culture, and provide support to a very deserving community. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone. Not only did I have the opportunity to teach English to children, but I was also able to utilise my teaching experience from my home country to provide valuable teacher training to the teachers at the school. A truly unforgettable experience.

The volunteer coordinator was the most amazing guide and went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and safe. She was always there for me and had great tips for how to adjust, where to find food, how to ride the metros and how to find ubers/taxis. I can't say enough amazing things about the volunteer coordinator, she's an amazing person and her non profit is so helpful for volunteers to get connected helping people in Medellin. The driver to and from the airport also went above and beyond to help me. Truly amazing people!!!
