Theuns Polygraph Services is a small family-owned and operated polygraph company that has been in existence for more than 10 years and has over 22 years of polygraph experience. Theuns van der Merwe was trained in America in 2001 by the International Academy of Polygraph and passed with distinction. He is a full member of the American Polygraph Association which is the leading professional polygraph organization in the world. He is a member of the South African Polygraph Federation (SAPFED). Theuns ended his 20-year career in the military intelligence wing of the South African National Defence Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then became a Regional Operations Manager for Gray Security Services in South Africa, Uganda and The Comoro Islands for 4 and a half years. This places him in the unique position of being trained in data, evidence and intelligence gathering, interrogation techniques and in-depth knowledge of security structures.
