To date, DAD has reached over 300,000 individuals through its programs that focus on protection, livelihoods, capacity building, and education. DAD NGO for Human Rights and Civil Society Affairs was founded in 2013 as a response to the humanitarian crisis in Syria which resulted in the influx of refugees into the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The organization established a strong connection with the refugee community and also mobilized host communities to support refugees.
