Dr. Adam Mackintosh

Dr. Adam Mackintosh is practicing family medicine in a multi-specialty group at Banner Health Center in Sterling, Colorado. Adam is a 1997 Judson graduate where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Medicine. Adam graduated from the University Of Health Science College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He and his wife, Rachel, have seven children, Kayleigh, Josiah, Zachary, Collyn, Christina, Fidha and Wilson.

Dr. Brett Smith

Rev. Dr. Brett Smith is the Pastor and Director of the University Baptist Church and Baptist Housing Ministry at the University of Illinois, and a Lecturer at the Urbana Theological Seminary. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Master of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Philosophy from Northwestern University. He and his wife, Tammi, have two sons, John and Peter.

Dr. Dae Sik Yang

Rev. Dr. Dae Sik Yang is the Senior Pastor of the Jinju Sungnam Church in the Republic of Korea. He is also an adjunct Professor at Daeshin Theological Seminary. Dae Sik received his Bachelor of Arts from Judson University in 1998, an M.Div from Chong Sin Theological Seminary, and a D.Min from Westminster Theological Seminary. Dae Sik and his wife, Eun Joo have two grown children, daughter Jee Eun and son Daniel Hee Sung.

Dr. Darryl T. Jenkins

Dr. Gene C. Crume Jr. - President

Dr. Gene C. Crume, Jr. was named Judson University's sixth president in February 2013. Dr. Crume started his service at Judson in April 2013, and his formal installation as President was October 24, 2013. Since arriving at Judson, Dr. Crume led the University through its first comprehensive strategic planning process. The Board of Trustees approved the plan, Shaping Our Future: The Strategic Plan for Judson University, 2014-2019, in February 2014. He has also helped secure $11.84 million in gifts from individual donors since arriving at Judson in support of the strategic plan. During his tenure, a half dozen new academic programs have been developed including RISE - Road to Independent Living, Spiritual Formation and Employment for differently abled students to obtain a college certificate. Judson has also launched men's volleyball, football, and men's and women's bowling under Dr. Crume's leadership. Dr. Crume has served on the boards of several local and regional organizations. He is Vice Chair of the Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities, an advocacy organization that represents the public policy interests of Illinois' non-profit colleges and universities. He is a board member for the Associated Colleges of Illinois, which supports liberal arts and sciences universities to help underserved students succeed in college and life. He is also a board member of the National Christian College Athletic Association. Within the Elgin community, Dr. Crume is a board member of the award winning Elgin Symphony Orchestra and has served on the board of the United Way of Elgin. Dr. Crume spent a significant portion of his career at his alma mater, Western Kentucky University (WKU), where he served as the Executive Director of the WKU Alumni Association and taught as an adjunct instructor. His career also includes serving as Executive Vice President and Assistant Professor at Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University) and President of the Indiana State University Foundation. Dr. Crume grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Master's degree in Communications from Western Kentucky University. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in Education with a minor concentration in organizational leadership from the University of Virginia. Throughout his career he has served as an assistant professor or adjunct instructor for classes in business, public relations and communications at several institutions. He enjoys teaching one class each semester at Judson. Dr. Crume is married to Cindy Smith Crume of Bowling Green, Kentucky, also a Western Kentucky University graduate. The Crumes' daughter Allie and her husband Grant are educators in Atlanta, Georgia. Their son Gene III graduated from Judson in December of 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Business and Entrepreneurship. He is currently enrolled in an Audio Engineering program with Judson partner Dark Horse Institute. He and his wife, former Judson student Mika Kleinkort, live in Franklin, Tennessee. Dr. Gene Crume is the President of Judson University. Gene graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Communications. Gene also received his Doctor of Education with a minor concentration in Organizational Leadership from Western Kentucky University. He and his wife, Cindy, have two children, Alexandra and Gene III. Dr. K. Shelette Stewart

Dr. K. Shelette Stewart is an author, global speaker, consultant, and graduate of Harvard University with over 20 years of leadership experience with prominent organizations including Harvard Business School, The Coca-Cola Company, and BellSouth/AT&T. She is a Fulbright Foreign Specialist with a Doctorate in Business Administration and the founder and principal of Stewart Consulting, LLC, a firm dedicated to helping organizations with strategic planning and leadership development. Dr. Stewart is the author of the award-winning book, Revelations in Business: Connecting Your Business Plan with God's Purpose and Plan for Your Life© which has been formally endorsed by several industry leaders including Dan Cathy, Chairman of Chick-fil-A.

Dr. Lanette Poteete-Young

Dr. Lanette Poteete-Young is the Chief Academic Officer and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Poteete-Young received her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State University. She has been teaching and working at Judson University first as a Full Professor of Mathematics, then as Dean, and most recently, the Associate Provost of Academic Curriculum. She also took graduate courses in Statistics from Northern Illinois University to improve her teaching in statistics. Her interests lie in mathematics pedagogy and curriculum development.

Dr. Nikki Fennern - EVP

Dr. Nikki Fennern has been a leader in the higher education industry for over 20 years. Currently, Dr. Fennern serves as the Executive Vice President at Judson University in which she oversees adult, online, graduate, and traditional enrollment; financial aid; marketing; and intercollegiate athletics. During her time at the university, she has analyzed and implemented campus initiatives strategically and holistically while collaborating with each area of the university to advance strategic goals and vision. Dr. Fennern is currently leading an initiative to reorganize the university's online, adult, and graduate programs to move operations from an external partner to internal control. She collaborates with external constituents to develop strategic partnerships for adult, graduate, and undergraduate enrollment. Through a campus-wide approach to recruitment, incoming classes have met deposit and budget goals while meeting or exceeding institutional discount rate goals. Dr. Fennern has also been involved with university-wide strategic planning, reaccreditation processes, and developing campus-wide corporate sponsorships. Intercollegiate athletics has seen growth in student-athletes, competitive success, and the launch of a football program while attending to building a strong culture integrated into the whole of the university. Dr. Fennern oversaw the construction of an artificial turf soccer/football field and practice track and has taught as an adjunct professor in the Exercise and Sport Science department. Prior to Judson University, Dr. Fennern served as the Vice President for Enrollment Management at Iowa Wesleyan University. There, she led the enrollment division which included admission, financial aid, and intercollegiate athletics. During her tenure, she restructured recruitment processes and developed a campus-wide plan to grow undergraduate enrollment through strategies collaborating with academics, admissions, international recruitment, and athletics. She co-chaired the university-wide Persistence and Completion Council. The university achieved deposit goals and persistence goals and grew overall enrollment during her tenure. In conjunction with the athletic director, she helped to lay the groundwork for starting men's and women's wrestling and moving the athletic department from NCAA Division III to NAIA. Dr. Fennern earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's University, a master's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation: Athletic Administration from South Dakota State University, and a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. Mrs. Constance Rogers

Mrs. Constance Rogers is a Consulting Actuary. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Ball State University in 1984. Professionally, she qualified as a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries. Connie has prepared and taught Bible studies and recently wrote a bible study book for publication soon. Connie and her husband, Rex, have two grown children, Anna and David.

Mrs. Cynthia Hoag

Mrs. Cynthia Hoag received her bachelor's degree from Wheaton College. She chairs Beach Cities Friends of Habitat for Humanity/Greater LA, which has raised support for nine new homes since 2002. Cindy teaches youth in her church and helped to found Vistamar School in El Segundo. She and her husband David have two children, Alec and Natalie.

Mrs. Kristen Egan

Kristen Egan was promoted to Vice President for Advancement beginning July 1, 2018. As a member of the Leadership Team, she advances the strategies to build resource and development capacity, as well as leads Advancement, Alumni, World Leaders Forum and special events functions. Since 2016, Kristen has worked to build donor relationships and capacity for the university. Over the last two years, she has focused on developing a foundation strategy and integrated planned giving program, strengthening the annual fund, establishing best practices for data collection and gift acceptance, as well as providing leadership to the Advancement team. Kristen has more than 20 years of experience working in fundraising and marketing communications with Meyer Partners, the Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

Mrs. Linda Colson

Mrs. Linda Colson is an Assistant Principal at Belvidere South Middle School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. She also received a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Chicago. Mrs. Sarah Taylor

Mrs. Virginia (Ginny) Guth

Virginia (Ginny) Guth began serving as Associate Vice President for Student Success in fall 2013 and became the Vice President for Student Success and University Registrar in June 2019. Ginny has 25 years of experience in higher education, beginning her career serving as a records coordinator where she identified her passion for serving students. Serving as registrar at Judson, she led both curriculum and the university academic policy committees. Her desire to improve processes allowed her the opportunity to lead the implementation of a campus-wide, student-focused, web portal, more commonly known on campus as MyJudson. This self-service portal allows students to register for classes, view transcripts, track graduation requirements, and view a campus calendar of events. Ginny earned her bachelor's degree in human services in 2002 and her master's degree in organizational leadership in 2008, with an emphasis in academic advising, at Judson. During her service as Vice President, she has focused on student retention by redesigning the Student Success Center and its services, establishing the Writing Center, and instituting graduation plans for all incoming students.

Rev. Dr. Charles Moore

Rev. Dr. Charles Moore is a retired American Baptist Pastor He received his Bachelor of Arts from Geneva College in 1977, his M.Div. from Bethel Seminary, and his D.Min. from Northern Seminary. Chuck and his wife, Marilyn, have three grown children, Melissa ‘03, Joshua, and Michael.
