I will check out your game. Time permitting, and if possible, I will playtest your game. I watch your trailer, and I will identify the key selling points for your game. I will check out your social media accounts and your press-kit if you have one. With this knowledge, I will begin to write a press release as the foundation for the promotion. In most cases, the press release is between 1-2 pages long. Some developers have a pre-written press release of their own which they prefer for me to use, which is fine with me if the quality meets a certain standard... For the duration of the promotion, I will copy you on emails sent to (and received from) press members concerning your game. If a journalist asks me for a game key, I will introduce you to the journalist by email, allowing you to share directly.
