HEARTLAND RAIL - Key Persons
Andrew joined Heartland in April 2016. Andrew has extensive experience in the commercial banking industry; most recently as a Vice President with Wells Fargo Bank. Andrew is responsible for business development and management of Heartland's leasing operations. Andrew received a B.S. in Finance from Illinois State University.
Brian is a well-rounded and grounded Chief Executive with extensive knowledge and expertise in management, operations, logistics, marketing, and finance. He began his career with Consolidated Grain & Barge and then worked at Midwest Marine Management prior to launching Heartland Barge in 1999. Heartland Fabrication was started in 2005, followed by Heartland Rail in 2015 and Heartland Commercial Real Estate in 2017. An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for business has Brian continuously exploring new initiatives and strategies to expand the offerings of the Heartland Companies. Brian received a B.S. in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois in 1988.

Mike Westcott joined Heartland as the Director of Finance in March of 2020 and was named Chief Financial Officer in January 2021. As CFO, Mike is responsible for all financial and strategic objectives of the Heartland Companies. Prior to joining Heartland he spent nearly ten years in the banking industry. His banking experience includes commercial banking in St. Louis, restructuring-focused work in Houston covering the energy sector, and as Vice President with Wells Fargo's Industrials Corporate Banking group in Chicago. Mike received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
