Lucinda called Home Environment Solutions to find out about upgrading the insulation in her Allison Park home. Lucinda was set up with an appointment with the HES insulation expert Russell. He came to her home to do a free in home energy audit. In Lucinda's attic he found old compressed insulation with a low R value.

Home Environment Solution Consultant, Mark, did an inspection and found many building deficiencies that were causing her problems. The home had old inefficient R19 fiberglass insulation that was not installed properly along with many leaky HVAC ducts throughout the attic. He also discovered many large penetrations in the attic floor which caused a major amount of heat to escape in the winter and hot air to enter the living space in the summer. There were also issues in her basement with gaps in the rim joist and air gaps around the windows and doors. These problems created multiple drafts. Mark went over his findings with Diane and laid out a detailed solution to solve all of her comfort and efficiency problems once and for all.
Mark Orecchio has been working in the home industry for 30 years, both as a real estate investor and as a contractor. Mark founded Orecchio Properties in 1990 before starting Orecchio Construction & Restoration in 1992 as a full service contractor specializing in mold remediation, water restoration, and general construction. Mark takes great pride in serving his customers in West Virginia and helping them create better living spaces in their homes. In his free time, Mark loves spending time with his three children. He also enjoys international travel, scuba diving, skiing, making home made wine and boating.
Mark Orecchio is the manager of Home Environment Solutions, with certifications as a Council-Certified Indoor Environmentalist, Microbial Remediator, Residential Mold Inspector, and an IICRC Applied Microbial Technician as well as Water Damage Restoration Technician. Mark has also attended the Dr. Energy Saver training sessions.
Mark enjoys staying busy which he finds easy to do while owning three companies. Not only does he manage Home Environment Solutions but he also owns a Real Estate company called Orecchio Properties that manages over 200 houses, apartments, and townhouses in the Weirton and Steubenville areas. Mark owns is Orecchio Construction & Restoration that specialized in mold remediation, water restoration, and general construction. Café Primo, a licensed West Virginia lottery retailer.
Home Environment Solutions and offers home energy saving solutions throughout Greater Pittsburgh & Northern Panhandle. When he is not hard at work, he enjoys time with his three children, Marco Roman and Mia as well as international travel, scuba diving, skiing, boating, and making homemade wine.
