To achieve this, we want the operation to become more self sufficient and less labor intensive. Our cattle must be more maintenance free by breeding functional females which make good range mother cows and bulls that sire those females... We strive to maintain a cattle herd of moderately sized, excellent disposition, high volume, superior fleshing, excellent udders, structurally sound, and light birth weight Black Angus cows weighing 1200-1300 lbs that wean a 500-600 lb calf each year with no supplemental concentrate or supplemental feeding...
