Dr. John T. Biddulph is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon who has been providing high-quality medical treatment for patients in Fredericksburg Stafford, Spotsylvania and surrounding communities since 1999. He started his independent specialty practice in 2001. His specialties include treatments for fractures and reconstructive surgery as well as non-surgical treatments for common orthopedic injuries and conditions. He and his staff have extensive experience working with major employers and workers to help employees recover and return to work swiftly, and they are knowledgeable about the requirements for workers' compensation insurance. Licensed to practice medicine in Florida and Virginia, Dr. Biddulph is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the American Medical Association, Medical Society of Virginia, Fredericksburg Area Medical Society, Virginia Orthopaedic Society, Florida Medical Association, and the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Biddulph came to the Fredericksburg area in 1999 and quickly developed a strong reputation for providing knowledgeable and compassionate care as one of the busiest surgeons at Mary Washington Hospital. Before launching his own medical practice 22 years ago, he was affiliated with the Pratt Clinic. Dr. Biddulph earned his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1986 and completed his internship in general surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Upon his commission, Dr. Biddulph served as general medical officer on USS John F. Kennedy and then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia in 1994. As a practicing orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Biddulph devoted three years of service at the US Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy, followed by a year in Jacksonville, Florida, prior to leaving active duty and moving to Fredericksburg. Dr. Biddulph held the rank of Commander prior to resigning his commission in 2006. Dr. Biddulph was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated first in his class with a 4.0 average from Rutgers University in 1982. Today he resides in Fredericksburg with his wife, Tracy, and their three children.

Joanne Biddulph

In describing her job as being far more than being a receptionist, Joanne says she is far happier working in healthcare and being part of what is truly a family culture, "It's about people's lives. I know I have to be accurate and that my work can make a big difference. We are always focused on making sure everything is done properly." "I am prayerful for patients when they are going into surgery," she adds. Joanne grew up in Piscataway, NJ, where she studied accounting and worked as part of the finance team for Chanel for 25 years before relocating to the Fredericksburg area 10 years ago. Joanne is married to David Biddulph, the practice's manager and Dr. Biddulph's brother, and they have two children.
