Resolute Management, Inc. (RMI) is a Nebraska corporation and has offices and operations in several locations in the United States. We employ nearly 300 people. Resolute is an indirect subsidiary of Columbia Insurance Company and is one of the companies within the Berkshire Hathaway Group of Insurance Companies. We provide claims handling services -- primarily relating to historical asbestos, environmental contamination and other latent damage claims -- on behalf of certain insurance companies within the Berkshire group and a variety of unaffiliated companies who have entered into transactions for such services. Resolute also pursues reinsurance recoveries on amounts paid to or on behalf of insureds on these claims...
