YOSHIMI KOIZUMI

I am an expert of the Japanese techniques of textile design and dying, such as Yuzen, Katazome (stencil), Kinsai (Gold leaf), and Kusakizome... Along with these techniques and traditional Kimono themes like the four seasons, musical instruments, and hand fans, I designed and created a new style of Kimono, Obi, dresses, shawls and scarves to fit modern sensibilities for private clients, magazines and TV commercials. In France, I presented stage costumes for a dance company.
