Amber Bird

Amber joined AGA in January of 2015 as a Revenue Cycle Analyst. She has been loyal to the practice for over nine years and now serves as our Practice Manager. Amber is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and is credentialed through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Amber earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2017 and went on to obtain her Master of Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in Healthcare Management from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Amber's favorite part of her role is being a positive mentor to her staff and always offering a helping hand in and outside of the workplace. Amber enjoys exploring new places, trying new foods, and cheering on her husband and two sons in various sports. Amber is specifically interested in professional development and is currently studying for the Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) certification exam through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

Stephanie Carithers

Stephanie joined our Endoscopy Center in 2022 as a staff nurse. She very quickly earned the respect of both her coworkers and Dr. Williams and was promoted as the Endoscopy Center Manager in 2023. Stephanie earned her nursing degree from Athens Technical College in 2019 and began her nursing career at St Mary's Hospital in Athens on the Surgical Floor specializing in Orthopedics. Stephanie is a native of Oconee County and still resides there with her husband and two children. Stephanie enjoys spending the weekends camping with her friends and family and is also known to bring a positive vibe everywhere she goes. Stephanie is currently studying for her CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse) credential through The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associations (SGNA).
