California Fueling was founded in 2017 to expand the use of biodiesel in the state of California under the state's progressive clean air policies. The development of VESTA® - NOx mitigants developed by Hull Partners and licensed to California Fueling - enables the use of biodiesel blends up to 20 percent under the California Air Resources Board's (CARB) Alternate Diesel Fuel Regulation, which went into effect January 1, 2018. Without NOx mitigants, biodiesel blends exceeding 5 percent in the winter and 10 percent in the summer will fall out of compliance with state regulations.
