FRIENDS OF MAYLANDS LAKES

The Friends of Maylands Lakes (FOML) group was established by the local community in April 2016, following several years of steady decline in the water quality of the Lakes and inaction by the City of Bayswater to address increasingly severe outbreaks of blue green algae blooms... We are a community group, working to improve the health of Lake Bungana, Lake Brearley and the Brickworks Lake that are located on the Maylands Peninsula in the City of Bayswater. Our aim is to create a sustainable lakes environment that will not only support native flora and fauna, but also provide attractive amenities for the local community and visitors.
