A Virginia Beach native, Andrew graduated from Cox High School and continued his education at Virginia Tech, where he received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering - go Hokies! Andrew is known for his vast mortgage product knowledge and excels at advising his team of loan officers and clients. His focus this year is offering high-value client consultations in navigating the tedious underwriting and compliance requirements of today's mortgage environment. Andrew is an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoys traveling with his family and friends and is especially proud of his family which include his wife of 8 years and 2 young children that keep him busy!

Adam Backes is a Senior Loan Officer with Southern Trust Mortgage and works out of the Prince Frederick, MD office.
As a seasoned loan officer, his goal is to help make the home mortgage process as easy for you as possible. He's been in the mortgage business now for over 15 years. In that time, he's worked for a few small brokerages, a fortune 500 builder as their preferred lender, several top retail lenders in the country and now a fast-growing regional mortgage company, aka Southern Trust Mortgage. His diverse background with the different types of companies has served him well in gaining industry knowledge and experience. This allows him to assist his clients in finding the best options for their situation. His goal is 100% customer satisfaction! Adam specializes in many home loan programs including first-time homebuyers, FHA, VA, and conventional loans. Currently, he is licensed to do loans in Maryland, with a concentration in the Annapolis, Garrett County, Allegany County, Washington County, Frederick County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Anne Arundel County, and Baltimore City areas.
Adam attended the University of Maryland and grew up in beautiful Southern Maryland. He currently lives in Chesapeake Beach with his wife and son. When he's not working or spending time with his family, you'll probably find him on the golf course or at a local sporting event.

Brian Picker is a Senior Vice President with Southern Trust and oversees the company's Northern region (MD, DE, PA) from Ellicott City, MD.

Brian is a graduate of Carson Newman University with a degree in Business Management. He is from Howard County and currently lives in Glenelg, Maryland with his wife and four daughters. When not spending time with his family or working, Brian enjoys golfing.
