KNIGHTS STEM ASSOCIATION

Knights STEM Association has been together since 2009. We are a STEM team competing in table top Lego robotics, rocketry and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and come from three different schools to form our neighborhood team. We now have our 501 (c)(3) non-profit status... We are now competing in model rocketry competition, the Team America Rocketry Competition (TARC)https://rocketcontest.org/ . The team made it to nationals (top 10% in USA) in 2016, but in 2017 suffered a catastrophic loss of the rocket on the 3rd qualification flight due to an engine parachute ejection failure. We again made it to Nationals in 2018 and placed 71 out of 803 teams in the USA. This year we have our sights on the national competition again, and plan on doing much better. We have learned many lessons from last year, such as how to compensate for different weather conditions between Oregon and Washington D.C..
