Dr. Bruno received his Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2013) and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine and Public Health (2016) from the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Brazil. Currently, Bruno is a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at UFG, and adjunct researcher of LabMol. He is a medicinal chemist, data scientist, and artificial intelligence (AI) specialist with experience in cheminformatics. His research focuses on Drug Discovery for Infectious Diseases, analysis of complex chemical-biology data, and application of predictive AI models as an alternative methods for toxicity assessment.

Dr. Andrade is an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, and head of LabMol - Laboratory for Molecular Modeling and Drug Design, since 2010. She obtained her Ph.D. in Drugs and Medicines from the University of Sao Paulo (USP, Brazil), with an internship at the University of New Mexico (USA), under the supervision of Prof. Antony Hopfinger. Her research focuses on Computer-Assisted and Artificial Intelligence-oriented Drug Design, aiming at discovering new drug candidates for Neglected and Emerging diseases. Her research also focuses on the development and application of AI tools and QSAR models for the prediction of toxicity properties of chemical compounds. In 2014, she was awarded with the For Women in Science award from L'Oréal-UNESCO and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in Brazil, and in 2015 with the International Rising Talents award from L'Oréal - UNESCO in France. In 2016 She has been elected to the Young Academy of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), and in 2021 to the Global Young Academy (GYA). She was treasurer, vice-director and director of the Medicinal Chemistry division of the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ). Currently she is Board Member of SBQ, acting as adjunct treasurer. She is Associate Editor for the Artificial Intelligence in the Life Sciences (Elsevier), and is Editorial Board Member of Communications in Chemistry (Nature) and Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling (ACS).
