NASIONAL RE

Initially, the Company was a unit at the level of a Department which later developed into a Division of PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero) (ASKRINDO), which was named General Reinsurance Division. This division functions as a Professional Reinsurer business unit. Thus, even though de jure Company was established in 1994, de facto Company has started its business since 1971, namely since ASKRINDO received a license to run Loss Reinsurance business as a supporting business in addition to the Credit Insurance business which is its main business. With the enactment of Law Number 2 year 1992 concerning Insurance Business, ASKRINDO was not permitted to operate as both insurance and reinsurance at the same time, so that a separation was carried out into a separate entity where the company (NASIONAL RE which was formed on August 22, 1994) obtained an operating license as a reinsurance company in 1995 based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number..
