Dr. Rubin is an Associate Professor of Dermatology, Pediatrics, and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. There he directs the adult and pediatric nail clinics, and practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in nail disorders, nail surgery, and histopathology of the nail unit.

Dr. Thomas Knackstedt - Treasurer

Dr. Thomas Knackstedt received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency training in dermatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, serving as chief resident his final year. In 2016, he completed his fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Dermatology Professionals, Inc of Rhode Island. Dr. Knackstedt received extensive training with an emphasis on surgical technique, complex facial reconstruction, and nail surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on skin cancer surgery, nail disease, and facial reconstruction. He serves on multiple professional committees of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery where he is also the editor of the reference library bibliography and host of a monthly dermatologic surgery podcast titled "Conversations in Mohs Surgery". He is engaged in medical education, clinical research, and regularly presents at regional, national, and international meetings.

Shari Lipner - VP

Dr. Lipner is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology and an Associate Attending Physician at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lipner completed her medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received both M.D. and Ph.D degrees and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training in Dermatology at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Lipner is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is deputy chair of the Public Education Committee. She is a member of the Women's Dermatologic Society, and Council for Nail Disorders, where she serves as Board of Director and chair of multiple committees. She is also the President of The Dermatologic Society of Greater New York and co-chaired the Atlantic Dermatological Conference in 2019. She is the recipient of multiple honors and awards including the AAD Academic Dermatology Leadership Program Award, Women's Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award, Weill Cornell Leadership in Academic Medicine Program Award, and the JAAD Editorial Mentorship Award. Dr. Lipner is board certified in Dermatology and has a wide range of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of skin disorders. She is an expert in nail disorders, including fungal diseases, and nail tumors. She is also the Primary Investigator on clinical trials utilizing novel treatments for nail disorders, and is able to offer alternative treatments to patients who have failed traditional therapies. Dr. Lipner has authored over one hundred fifty peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters, lectures nationwide, and is a frequently sought out by the media for her expertise.

Tracey Vlahovic

Dr. Vlahovic is a graduate of Yale University with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and received her podiatric medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. After finishing her surgical residency at St Luke's University Health Network in Allentown, PA, she was the first podiatrist in the US to complete a fellowship in podiatric dermatology under the supervision of Stephen Schleicher, MD. Currently, she is a Clinical Professor and J. Stanley and Pearl Landau Faculty Fellow at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia and a member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). She is an adjunct professor in the Department of Microbiology, Temple University School of Medicine.
