PRAFULTA - Key Persons
Dr. Anagha Sopan Bagade joined Prafulta in November, 2021 as an Occupational Therapist. She completed her Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from Seth G.S Medical College and KEM hospital. She has done her Master's of Occupational Therapy in Neurosciences from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital And Medical College ( Sion hospital) both affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Her training has primarily been in Occupational Therapy and she has been practicing with adults and pediatrics since 2018. She is working with NGOs such as Multiple Sclerosis Society of India as an Occupational Therapist for adult as well as pediatric population.
At Prafulta, Anagha provides Occupational Therapy services to children of all age groups and having diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, GDD etc.
Her expertise lies in Neurological and Pediatric conditions.
Gautami is an occupational therapist, having completed her graduation from Nair hospital Mumbai. She has been working with Prafulta since January 2023. She specializes in Pediatric OT. She has also worked with Multiple Sclerosis Society of India and treated many adult patients.
Dr. Manjari Agarwal joined Prafulta in June 2019 as an Occupational therapist. She pursued her Bachelors in Occupational therapy from the National Institute of Rehabilitation Training And Research and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics from the SNDT university.
She is passionate in learning new forMs. to help decrease the challenges faced by Sensory Processing disorders in kids. She has worked with children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. At Prafulta she provides Occupational Therapy services to treat children diagnosed with Learning Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. She is experienced in pediatrics.
Dr Payal Ubale joined Prafulta in September 2007. She started working as a Consultant Occupational Therapist and is presently the Coordinator of the OT Department.
She graduated in Occupational Therapy from SVNIRTAR, Orissa, in the year 2003, and finished her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Seth GSMC KEM Hospital in 2007. In her Master's program, she specialised in the area of Neuroscience. Dr. Payal completed her certification in Sensory Integration from USC WPS in 2016 and is also trained in Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP).
She has been involved in the in-patient management at Prafulta and she coordinates the Occupational therapy services in various regular schools through Prafulta.
Her responsibilities include assessment of clients with various difficulties. She evaluates children with various developmental and neurological disorders. She also works with adults having anxiety disorders, depression, schizophrenia, etc.
Dr. Payal has organised camps and workshops on Sensory Integration for children and parents and is continuously involved in various training prograMs. for teachers, counsellors, parents and therapists. Her topics for training include sensory processing issues, movement based activities, perceptual enrichment techniques, handwriting programs, managing behavioral issues in children, ergonomics and backache management, women's health and Occupational therapy.
She supervises the establishment of OT services in regular schools. She also looks after the documentation of all therapy related work at Prafulta. She has a keen Interest in presenting papers at conferences and has been involved in research work with fellow therapists at Prafulta. She has also written articles for various magazines.
Dr. Prajakta Patkar Joined Prafulta in June 2021 as a Consultant Psychiatrist. She has a MBBS, M.D. Psychiatry, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Certified as Play therapist She is primarily specialised with an M.D. in Psychiatry. Thereafter, she has trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the prestigious Nair Hospital, Mumbai and worked as an Assistant Professor there. She is extremely passionate about working with Children and Adolescents and is also dedicated to teaching and training the postgraduate students in psychiatry. The understanding that not everyone chooses and wants to continue only medication for a long time prompts her not only to prescribe medications but also personally do therapy which she is trained in. Her belief in making mental health care available to all motivates her to be actively involved with many non-profit organisations working in the benefit of people with mental illness. She has also worked with the Berkshire NHS in the UK.
Her expertise involves Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Anxiety disorders, Mood Disorders, Stress management Personality disorders and handling relationship issues.
Dr. Pranjali joined Prafulta in April, 2013 as a Consultant Occupational Therapist. She has a Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from the Government Medical College, Nagpur. She has Worked as a Occupational Therapist at the Central India Association for Neuro-Developmentaly Handicapped Children with Developmental disorders and is presently affiliated to Prafulta, where her expertise is in treating kids with LD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Autistic, Global Developmental Delay & Sensory Processing Disorders. Dr. Pranjali also conducts Group Therapy and assessment of children.

Dr. Reema Valia joined Prafulta Centre for Psychological Wellness in June 2007 as an Occupational Therapy Consultant. She pursued her Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC), Mumbai, in May 2000. She also has a Diploma in Rehabilitation from the All India Institute Of Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation (AIIPMR), Mumbai.
Her training has primarily been in Occupational Therapy and she has been practicing with adults and pediatrics since 2000. She practices exclusively in pediatrics since 2006 and has attended many workshops in NDT (Neuro Developmental Techniques) and SI (Sensory Integration). She conducts individual sessions as well as group therapy. She works with children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Downs Syndrome, Autism /ASD, Learning Disability, ADHD/ADD and other developmental disabilities.
Dr Ruksheda Syeda, joined Prafulta in 2011 and has a MBBS degree with DPM. Her training has been at the esteemed Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Hospital with Psychiatric training at G S Medical College and K E M Hospital.
She is a celebrated speaker on Mental Health and has two Tedx talks to her credit. Having received numerous international awards including a prestigious WHO Fellowship from South Korea in psycho-social rehabilitation, she has a thriving private practice in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, spanning over 18 years. She serves on psychiatric professional bodies and is the convener of women's mental health specialty section of the Indian Psychiatric Society. A passionate advocate of community mental health, Dr Ruksheda also consults at other centers and works with various NGOs to bridge the gap and provide quality affordable mental health care to all. Her warmth and empathetic communication style has made her popular with the media as a mental health expert for TV, radio, print and script consultations.
Dr. Ruksheda's expertise is in the area of Adolescent and Young Adults, Women and Family Psychiatry.
Shweta has completed her Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from Seth GS medical college and KEM hospital, currently persuing Masters of Occupational Therapy in Neurosciences at Lokmanya Tilak Medical college and Government Hospital.
Her training has primarily been in Occupational Therapy and she has been practicing with children and adults since 2021. Currently she also works as an Occupational Therapist at Sheild Foundation NGO Matunga and Prafulta, Andheri.
Dr. Shweta Ramesh Waghmare joined Prafulta in February 2022 as an Occupational Therapist. She has completed her bachelor's in Occupational therapy from Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital and currently pursuing Masters of Occupational Therapy in Mental Health at Lokmanya Tilak medical college.
Her training has primarily been in Occupational therapy and she has been practicing with children and adults since 2019. She has also been a part of various workshops and seminars on OT in Mental health, spinal cord Injury rehabilitation, PNF and Sensory integration and more.
In Prafulta, she works with children of all ages, and aids in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, Learning disabilities, GDD, and more
Her expertise is in the area of Mental Health conditions.
Dr. Swarali is a purpose driven Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, attempting to make a difference where it is needed the most. She believes in a Client-centered, reflective approach and an evidence-based practice preferably with monotherapy, need-based polypharmacy, and emphasis on therapeutic alliance and behavioural interventions. Her inclinations are towards treating Severe and Common mental disorder across all age and socio-cultural-economic groups with adequate pharmacotherapy and required psychological interventions.
Dr. Wilona is a practising psychiatrist, working as a consultant at the Institute for Psychological Heath (IPH), Thane, and Prafulta, Centre for Psychological Wellness, Andheri. She joined Prafulta in 2015.

Fr. Godfrey is a Catholic Priest belonging to the Order of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), an International Organization that works with children and youth. He has a Master's in Psychology from the Fordham University, New York, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counseling from The Postgraduate Centre for Mental Health, New York.
Fr. Godfrey is the Founder and Director of Prafulta, a multi-dimensional Centre in Mumbai that caters to people in emotional distress. He continues to be the Director of Prafulta since 1998. He was the past President and is a life member of the Salesian Psychological Association (SPA). He was also the President of the Conference of Catholic Psychologists of India (CCPI). He is a member of the Bombay Psychiatric Society (BPS).
Fr. Godfrey conducts a variety of programs. on affective and emotional growth. He does individual, group, and couples counseling. He conducts training modules in counseling skills and workshops in psycho-sexual-spiritual integration. He has done his training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) in London and is also an Integrated Somatic Psychology (ISP) practitioner.

Emmanuel Pereira, joined Prafulta in 2015 as a part-time Accountant.
He has done his Graduation in Commerce (B.Com). He worked in a Chartered Accountant firm where he was engaged in doing audit for several colleges.
He has been working as a full-time accountant at St. Dominic Savio High School for the past 19 years. At Dominic Savio's and at Prafulta, he maintains the Trust Registers, prepares Monthly Account Sheets, finalises the accounts for Audit purposes, does the filing of statutory returns such as change report, profession tax, TDS, etc.

Inderjeet has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from SNDT University, a PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology, an Advanced Diploma in Counseling from Prafulta and a certificate in Arts based Therapy.
Inderjeet is a practicing counseling psychologist since 2011. She has a rich experience of working with children and adults, the bulk of her experience being with children, adolescents and their parents. She also deals with adults in her personal capacity. Inderjeet believes that each one has the capacity to help themselves and the therapist just needs to assist them to find the tools they already have. The focus of Inderjeet's counseling is to make her clients independent and not dependent on the therapist to manage their daily lives.
Her main areas of interest are working with people having concerns with anxiety, stress, procrastination, depression, adjustment issues, relationships and inter-personal issues. Since there is no one therapy that fits all clients, she uses an eclectic approach that is most suitable. She is personally drawn to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Gestalt apart from others.
