Fast-forward to finishing university and I still knew I wanted to travel and explore the world. And, I still wasn't exactly sure about how things would evolve, but I had a place to start. Through the student organization, AIESEC, I had an internship at Ogilvy & Mather in Istanbul, Turkey. Although initially extremely disappointed that I wasn't going to France, Belgium or Switzerland (having studied French), I viewed it as a launching pad into the rest of Europe. I never did manage to live in Paris to my chagrin, but I lived briefly in both Switzerland and Belgium before heading back the the US to get serious about my career... With the experience of Ogilvy under my belt, I launched into my first career in advertising - working first in NYC, LA and finally London as a VP, Worldwide Account Director. I loved working in a creative environment with great people. Some of the brands I worked with over the years included Noritake china, Sanyo fashions, Shiseido cosmetics, Canon home office..
