Barry created Mayfair Financial when he left HSBC Bank in 1995. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and had been in Management with HSBC for 19 years. On leaving HSBC, Barry passed his Financial Studies Diploma and subsequently decided to concentrate on mortgage planning. A further qualification was later obtained when he also gained the Mortgage Advice Qualification set by The Chartered Insurance Institute.
Mayfair relocated to Epsom from Central London in 2010 with the major aim of creating a more locally focussed business than had previously been possible. However, Mayfair continues to serve a large number of clients throughout London and the Home Counties. Barry advises on a comprehensive range of products offered by a large panel of lenders. The major emphasis remains with the Client. He doesn't believe that he is in competition with the High Street banks who can only offer products from their own limited ranges. "It's my job to listen and then create the ideal package to meet the needs of my client. lt's about both now and the future. I want to make sure that we have put the correct financial protection solutions in place should things go unexpectedly wrong".

Darren Dawe heads our Completions Team, with his own speciality being in dealing in sizeable property portfolios and more complex mortgages. He also has a sound knowledge of mortgage and life protection coverage.
"I joined Mayfair in April 2018 having previously owned two successful retail businesses. I wanted a new challenge and enjoyed the necessary studying to allow me to sit for the Certificate in Mortgage and Protection examinations. I use the knowledge obtained to help me resolve some of the more complex issues within this fast growing financial services practice."
Darren also gives Mayfair his previous experience in Banking and the Motor Trade. He is already a favourite with many of our clients, he enjoys customer interaction and seeing cases progress through to completion.
Sarah joined Mayfair in 2012 having previously worked in the Events Management Team of Reed Business Publishing in Sutton.
She primarily looks after all aspects of Mayfair's post completion liaison with clients. In addition she interacts with suppliers, ensures the efficiency of all internal working practices and has a role in the interview processes for the recruitment of new members of staff.
Sarah explains "I was delighted to find that the skills I obtained whilst working in a far larger corporate environment have enabled me to fulfil a much wider range of duties at Mayfair. I particularly enjoy liaising with Clients before and after completion of their house purchase"
