SITAR MUSIC SOCIETY

The Sitar Music Society is a registered charity based in the UK. Its aims are to advance the education of the general public in the history, theory and performance of Indian Classical Music and Dance in general, and the Sitar in particular... Since 2015, we have been creating opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and training to develop excellence. Under the continuing guidance of Ustad Dharambir Singh MBE, we particularly wish to promote the growing numbers of talented UK-based artistes who are drawing on the long heritage of Indian classical arts and creating new repertoires... Our Management Board comprises Dharambir Singh MBE (Chairman), Atul Patel MBE (Treasurer) and Anitaben Mistry. We are also grateful for the generosity of donors and benefactors who give us financial support, and the many volunteers who freely give of their time and expertise.
