MUSICAL CONNECTIONS

We run participatory music sessions and projects for older, isolated and vulnerable people in care and community settings across York. We also run a large programme of intergenerational events and activities, which bring together our beneficiaries with local schoolchildren and students. We provide free transport for anyone who needs it, and are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers... We are hugely grateful to the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery, who recently granted us £15,000 to enable us to help more vulnerable older people in York to get involved in musical activities with their wider community... We're a small team, but every one of us is driven by the desire to do everything we can to achieve our objectives, and to provide music and friendship to our members. Over time, we have seen how this ethos and approach has created a sense of family amongst us.
