His vast knowledge from handling hundreds of divorce and family law matters, combined with his personal life experiences, and educational background, have provided him with the many tools necessary to competently and efficiently handle any type of divorce and family law matter.
His partner, Matthew W. Cord, an exceptional attorney, is licensed to practice in California, Oregon and Montana. Attorney Cord has over 25 years of experience in all phases of litigation in both State and Federal Courts. Jessica Lomas-Stephens is a paralegal at Andrew P. Johnson, APC. She has been a practicing paralegal since January 2020, and spent her first years as a paralegal in a multi-faceted firm that specialized in family law, personal injury, and criminal law in Santa Barbara where she successfully assisted in the handling of a wide range of issues for individuals, families, and businesses. Since joining Andrew P. Johnson, APC, she has pivoted her focus to strictly family law. Jessica is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and a Gold Award Winner, an Alpha Gamma Delta Alumna, a Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society Alumna, and is a contributor to non-profit organizations like Girl's Inc, Red Cross, and SD Foodbank. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, exercising, watching sports, and spending time with her family. Jessica resides in San Diego with her cat, Butters.
Jessie has worked in family law for 7 years, beginning as a receptionist with James Hennenhoefer, A.P.C., where she first worked with Karen. In 2020, Jessie graduated from California State San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts in History and completed her paralegal certification soon thereafter. She has been working with Andy ever since. On the weekends Jessie and her husband take their dog, Annabel, for hikes all around the county and she spends the rest of her time cooking, gaming, and building computers.

Karen is the Managing Paralegal and has over 20+ years of family law experience. She graduated from a two-year ABA Certified program in Washington state with her Paralegal Certification and Associates Degree. Karen's experience in law goes back thirty years. She has worked in family law, criminal law and civil litigation. While working as an independent contractor with James Hennenhoefer, APC., she and Andrew Johnson worked together for the first time. Karen, while raising four children, continued to work in the family law arena in some of the most well-known family law firms in San Diego. Karen has since rejoined our team. She brings with her an immense amount of knowledge and experience.
Keri has worked as an Administrative Professional for many years. She graduated from Ashford University with a Masters in Organizational Management in 2013. Keri has been working for Andrew P. Johnson, APC since October, 2017 as the Office Manager. In her free time, she loves to hike, garden, and volunteer at her church.
Matthew Cord is a Licensed Attorney in California and Oregon. He has over 25+ years' experience in all phases of litigation in both State and Federal Courts. Prior to joining Andrew Johnson's office in Vista, California, Mr. Cord served as Civilian Counsel for the Department of the Navy, a Litigation Associate in Irvine, California, and a Deputy City Attorney in San Diego, California. Additionally, Mr. Cord served more than 20 years as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps in both active and reserve assignments.
