Job Titles:
- Research Associate Intern
Brianna Cunniff is a research associate intern focused on juvenile justice at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) who works on the Center for Coordinated Assistance to the States (CCAS) team. Brianna has experience working in an elementary school in her home state of Colorado, where she completed a service year with AmeriCorps. During her time there she worked with underprivileged and youth who are at risk and facilitated interventions in behavior, math, and attendance while fostering students' social-emotional learning and advocating for student needs.
Katherine Gross, MPaff, is a research associate with the American Institutes of Research (AIR) in the Youth, Family, and Community Development program area. Ms. Gross' interest in juvenile justice stems from her experiences and observations as an early literacy instructor in the Baltimore City Public Schools; the prevalence of harmful exclusionary discipline and the near-absence of trauma-informed care led her to pursue a course of graduate policy studies, concentrating on the intersections of education and juvenile justice.
