Our program is based in Santiago Zamora. A small Mayan community home to around 150 families. The majority of the women still wear their traditional Mayan dress. Most of the men work labor-based jobs. The workdays are long and hard. Many people don't have an education past the 3rd grade... IDCmissions host volunteers each year to serve in various aspects throughout Guatemala. Our vision is to assist other organizations in their exposure through, short-term service trips. Our hope is that after serving in Guatemala, volunteers will take these experiences and expand what can be done to help others in their home communities.
