Family Tyes Counseling and Consulting, LLC, was created when two Adoption-Certified Counselors decided to join forces to make an impact on the adoption of foster children in the Tampa Bay area. Rochelle Ignatz and Joi Lembke had each been providing adoption-related services to various agencies and individuals in the community for years on an individual basis. From their previous work experience in child welfare, Rochelle and Joi knew firsthand how challenging working with the foster care system to adopt a child can be for families. So they decided to create their own agency to provide a hub of adoption-related services to organizations, families and community members. The agency focuses on four areas: completing adoption home studies, helping families navigate the child welfare system when adopting, coaching families through the process of adoption and working with child welfare professionals to develop expertise in providing help and support to adoptive families...
