FIRST APPALACHIAN ROBOTICS

-FIRST Appalachian Robotics (FAR) is a community-based nonprofit robotics group based in Bristol, VA, and is comprised of area Virginia and Tennessee residents. Our team meets weekly in downtown Bristol, Virginia... Our team strives to provide opportunities for young people in grades 7 - 12 to be science and technology leaders by encouraging innovation and self-confidence. During the school year, we compete in an international robotics competition challenge through FIRST (firstinspires.org), but we do so much more than robotics! Our team also practices life skills such as leadership, communication, engineering, and design. Team students and mentors teach and lead explorations in STEM subjects with younger students, peers, and adults throughout the Tri-Cities area and beyond!... FIRST Tech Challenge Team 7090 was founded in 2013. The FAR FTC team mentors FLL Team, the Bristol LEGO Warriors, a FIRST team of 5th and 6th graders.
