- Associate Professor ( Tenured )
Dr. Qing Zhang's research is motivated by understanding novel optical properties of low dimensional semiconductors and their applications in nanophotonics and optoelectronics. Her group at Peking University is committed to the fabrication, and photophysics of metal halide perovskite and two dimensional semiconductors as well as their applications in nanophotonics. Recently, Dr. Qing Zhang's group has studied the strong exciton-photon interaction of lead halide perovskites, with the recent demonstration of room temperature exciton polariton and continuous-wave pumped lasing of perovskite nanowire crystals. Her group has also explored the gain/loss dynamics in quasi-2D and mixed-cation perovskites, and achieved solution-processed perovskites thin films with very high optical gain for the low amplified spontaneous emission.
