GREEN STEWARDSHIP INTERNATIONAL

Green Stewardship International (GSI) is an environmental non-governmental organization motivated by the Christian principle of stewardship. We believe that caring for the environment is essentially caring for our neighbours, ourselves and our common future... Deforestation is a major problem, especially for more than one billion people who depend on the forest for their livelihoods, but also because of its effects on climate change. Research shows that the net deforestation in the humid tropics has increased by 62% from the 1990s to the 2000s (Kim et al., 2015). Through research and policy reviews GSI engages policy makers and forest institutions. We also aim to undertake landscape activities like conservation, afforestation, and restoration of degraded land.
