LA GROIRIE

La Groirie is more than just an exceptional location, a 17th century ch teau in an unparalleled expanse of greenery. It is also a place that we fell in love with at first sight, turning our life upside down but making it richer every day... This is the passion that I want to convey to the people that come to stay here: for me they are not customers in my hotel, they are guests that I welcome into a place that is my life and close to my heart... La Groirie also offers its guests the chance to visit the ch teau, where the museum rooms of this "country house" recreate the French lifestyle of the mid-18th century... La Groirie estate hotel is a heritage property forming part of a 17th century ch teau that survived the turmoil of the War in the Vendée (a memorial plaque commemorates the event) and regained its status as a place of rest and repose in the more peaceful centuries that followed.
