LAOIS SCAFFOLDING HIRE - Key Persons
Darren joined the Laois Scaffolding team as Contracts Manager in January 2021. Darren is qualified as an Advanced Scaffolder with in-depth scaffolding knowledge, having spend over 40 years working in the scaffolding industry, 10 of which were spent in a scaffolding management role. Darren worked with KDK Scaffolding for over 20 years and also ran his own scaffolding company for a three year period.
Fintan joined the Seán Doyle Group in 2005 and plays the vital role of safety adviser across all of the group businesses including Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd., working closely with management to ensure all materials, services and sites are complying with the most up-to-date codes of practice, regulations and health and safety legislation including the most recent Covid-19 regulations.
Ger Kelly, from Enniscorthy in Co. Wexford joined the Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. team as Contracts Manager in June 2023.
Ger is a CSCS qualified Advanced Scaffolder with over 22 years' experience working within the Irish Construction Industry, with extensive experience across multiple market sectors gained whilst working with many of the largest main contractors, developers and pharmaceutical companies' operating within the Irish Construction Industry. Ger has worked for KDK Scaffolding for over 22 years, in varying roles, and has worked on numerous flagship projects for customers across a diverse range with leading contractors across all sectors.
Having recently achieved a 1 st Class Honours (Grade 1.1) from South East Technological University (STEU) for his (BBM) Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Management qualification, completed in 2022, Ger has a track record of proven management, problem solving and leadership skills coupled with excellent industry knowledge, technical scaffolding knowledge, experience and competencies in dealing with scaffolding confined space access, scaffolding temporary works design conceptualisation (TWDC), which is a skillset that assists Ger in providing customers with great service and quality performance levels across their projects.
Since joining the company in 2017, Neil has progressed to the role of Operations Manager, an integral role in the management team with his 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Neil is heavily involved in all aspects of the running of the company and has made a huge contribution to Laois Scaffoldings success to date.

Pat joined the Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. management team in March 2020 as Contracts Director, heading up the new Industrial Division.
With over 21 years of experience in the construction industry, 12 years of which have been working in the Industrial scaffolding sector, Pat is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a BSc degree in Construction Management and Economics and a Higher Certificate in Science in Construction Studies.
Pat worked as the Senior Projects and Operations Manager for Martin Scaffolding Ltd. from August 2008 to February 2020 where he was responsible for the operations of all Industrial Scaffolding projects liaising with clients and site management teams.
Pat has worked on major Industrial projects with some of the biggest corporations in Ireland including Amgen, Intel, BMS and Alexion, working also on projects for Google, Dublin Airport and Microsoft.
Rachel has an extensive background in Customer Relations having worked in the telecommunications industry for several years, before returning to college where she gained a BA in Arts (Hons) Degree in Public Relations & Media from IT Carlow in 2017. Rachel joined the Laois Scaffolding team in May 2019 providing essential administrative support to management and staff.
Seán Doyle is the Managing Director of the company, having acquired it in 2017. Seán is a hard working, business minded entrepreneur, managing a range of businesses across the construction and hospitality sectors. Seán set up the Seán Doyle Group in 1987 to collectively manage this growing portfolio of businesses, including the very successful Seán Doyle Painting Contractors Ltd.
As a forward thinking, strategic planner with over 30 years experience in the construction industry, Seán plays a vital and very hands-on role as Managing Director of Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. continually driving his team toward improved services, quality and excellence.
Seán Doyle Painting Contractors was first established in 1987. Throughout the years, and as part of the Seán Doyle Group, the company has developed into Ireland's leading premium painting contractor and have successfully expanded into the UK market.
With 20 years of sales and customer service experience, Shane has been a valuable addition to the team since he joined Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. as a supervisor in February 2017. Shane excels in problem solving and client relations and quickly progressed to his current position as Contracts Manager.
