Iván M. Mendoza is the Managing Principal and a Financial Advisor for Mendoza Private Wealth. With over two decades of professional experience, he provides investment and wealth planning advice to individuals and families and to their respective trusts, estates, foundations, endowments, and pension plans. He started his career with Prudential in 1999 as a Financial Planning Associate where he was quickly promoted to Manager, Financial Services. As a registered principal he was responsible for recruiting, training and developing a team of fee-based financial planners. Eager to make a direct impact on people's lives, in 2012 he joined the Miami office of Sanford C. Bernstein's private client group where he served as Vice President and Financial Advisor. In an effort to avoid conflicts of interest and truly focus on his clients, in 2016 Mendoza Private Wealth was founded. Iván credits the Ethics portion of the CFA program for illuminating the importance of maintaining his objectivity and focus on what he believes to be in his clients' best interests. Today, Mendoza Private Wealth is a boutique, private wealth management practice with a focus on research, planning and investment management. Iván currently resides in Miami, Florida with his wife, Ana and two sons, Emiliano and Alessandro. In his spare time, Iván loves to travel, try new restaurants and enjoys running and biking for exercise. He is a first generation American, bilingual and a native Spanish speaker of Peruvian heritage. He has also lived in New York City, Livingston NJ, as well as two years living abroad in Lima, Peru. Iván sits on the board of directors of the Alumni Association of Miami Country Day School in Miami Shores, Florida. Iván earned his BA in Psychology from Florida International University and his MBA from the University of Florida. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner (CFP®), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), a Certification For Long-Term Care CLTC(®), as well as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®).
