Jane has more than 25 years of VAT experience.
Prior to joining us, she has worked in VAT in the Big 4, at Grant Thornton and more recently at Mercer and Hole, a private client firm. At TVC she has a broad client base ranging from entrepreneurs to large corporates. She has experience of advising on VAT issues across many sectors but she specialises in real estate and construction (residential and commercial).
Jilly has over 20 years of experience in advising on VAT. Prior to joining us she was a VAT partner at Deloitte and UK practice leader for Ryan Tax Services. At TVC she has a broad client base ranging from MNCs to entrepreneurial businesses and she advises them on best practice in managing indirect tax in terms of data and systems, strategy, risk and operating models. She also advises on a range of technical VAT and customs duty issues (UK and overseas) including those impacting etailers, airlines, online content providers, education sector and loyalty businesses.
Julie is the MD and advises a broad range of businesses on UK and global VAT and customs duty issues - she is based in our London office.
Prior to joining The VAT Consultancy Julie was a director at Deloitte. Throughout her career she has spent periods of time embedded within the indirect tax teams of major corporates, assisting them and their business units with specific projects and helping drive VAT and customs duty efficiencies into the business, providing vital resource to the team to enable them to achieve their goals.
Recent projects in which she has been involved include:
Advising a US corporate on its global VAT invoicing processes and procedures and withholding tax obligations (75+ countries)
VAT determination in ERP implementations for several mid and large corporates
Implementing an SEO compliant VAT process and control framework for a major airline
Project managing a global customs duty control tower project for a global manufacturer
Carrying VAT healthcheck and risk reviews on the overseas subsidiaries of a FTSE 100 company
Quarterly VAT AP compliance reviews for a US Fortune 100 company
Cash generating reviews to identify P&L and working capital savings opportunities from customs duties and VAT

Silvia joined TVC in May 2022 and is responsible for managing the UK and overseas VAT compliance services we provide to clients, minimising the resource burden and risk this places on clients.
She works closely with our overseas compliance partners and our software providers to ensure processes are streamlined and robust, using technology tools to facilitate these. Prior to joining TVC, Silvia was a member of the Grant Thornton VAT compliance team and also has extensive experience of providing outsourced VAT compliance and related accounting support to large corporates.
