Having bred commercial cattle for many years, I decided in 2008 to concentrate on breeding pedigree Polled Hereford cattle. I bought my first cow and calf Fisher 1 Curley and her calf at foot at the Hereford Show & Sale... It has taken me a rather long time to build up the herd as after purchasing one more cow and calf, I decided that I would not buy in any more but rather use the excellent Cogent bulls to build up my own herd. I do not breed bulls for sale but I sell steers as store cattle, raising them on grass so they can go into the ever increasing ‘grass fed' finished market.
