Alex Lim

Alex Lim is Director of Strategy & Corporate Sustainability at Hawaiian Electric Industries (HEI). In this role, he supports the HEI family of companies with strategic planning, sustainability programs and reporting, and other priorities. Alex is originally from Oahu and is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Occidental College. He previously held strategy and business development roles with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Samsung Electronics. Alex spent his professional career based in New York, Boston, Beijing, and Seoul before returning to Hawaii in 2018. His family was fortunate to receive Early Intervention Services from Easterseals Hawaii, and he is grateful to support the team's efforts. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and serves on the board of Family Promise of Hawaii.

Amy Corbisier

Amy Corbisier is a Business Management graduate of Alverno College (a private women's university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and studied for her Masters of Business (MBA program) at Concordia University of Wisconsin. Amy is a trusted corporate executive and experienced financial professional - with expertise in M&A, Organizational Turnaround, Strategic Development & Plan Execution, and Financial & Enterprise Risk Management. Her career has taken her around the world, working with multinational corporations, with leadership roles in manufacturing, non-profits, service providers, and banking and financial services. Amy and her husband are happily married and are the parents of two rescued yellow Labradors. They have enjoyed the privilege of visiting the Hawaiian islands more than 50 times before their life-long dream of calling Hawaii home became their reality, and both share a strong belief and responsibility in giving back in service to the community. They have served and supported local and national non-profit boards in their former communities. Amy is excited about her volunteer service as a member of the Easterseals Hawaii Board and Finance Committee and in serving her new home, Hawaii.

Bernadette "Bernie" Valencia

Bernadette "Bernie" Valencia is the Vice President of Sales for Matson in Hawaii. She is responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing activities in the state of Hawaii, Matson's largest trade lane. Prior to moving to Hawaii, Bernie was the Vice President & General Manager for Guam and Micronesia. There she was responsible for overseeing the operations and sales activity of Matson's Western Pacific and Micronesia regions, which included Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands and Okinawa, Japan.

Chad Asato

Chad Asato is Manager, Strategic Development at Hawaiian Electric Company. In this role, as part of Hawaiian Electric's Corporate Strategy Division (President's Office), he provides leadership and direction for developing the company's strategy to position it for long-term value creation and sustainability in service to Hawai'i's communities and customers. Prior to Hawaiian Electric, Chad's diverse experience includes roles with Kamehameha Schools' Commercial Real Estate Division, L.E.K. Consulting in Boston, and First Hawaiian Bank. He is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, Pacific University, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Chad's first introduction to Easterseals Hawaii happened when his son was a recipient of Early Intervention services. He and his ‘ohana are appreciative of the assistance they received and want to give back by continuing to support Easterseals Hawaii and its mission. In his spare time, Chad enjoys Brazilian jiu-jitsu, surfing, traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with his growing ‘ohana.

Danielle Yafuso

Danielle Yafuso is Senior Vice President, Bank Properties Division for First Hawaiian Bank. She oversees facilities maintenance for the bank's 60 branches and provides strategic planning, design and construction management for new development projects. Danielle is a graduate of Punahou School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, School of Architecture. In her continuing support of the community, she serves as a board member on the Hawaii Architectural Foundation, the American Institute of Architects Honolulu Chapter, and coaches basketball for the Manoa Girls Athletic Association. Danielle's greatest inspiration continues to be her family. Her son, who was diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum, continues to have needs that help her discover the ultimate kindness and generosity in people. Her family is one of many fortunate recipients of Early Intervention Services from Easterseals Hawaii. As a result, she is very appreciative of the opportunity to serve on the board, where she hopes to promote awareness and advocate for more support in our local community.

Doug Chin

Doug Chin is a director at the Honolulu law firm, Starn O'Toole Marcus & Fisher, where his practice focuses on commercial litigation and administrative law. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America list in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation, Government Relations, Administrative/Regulatory Law and Civil Rights Law. Doug's extensive career in public service includes serving as the Hawaii Lieutenant Governor in 2018, Hawaii Attorney General from 2015-2018, Honolulu Managing Director from 2010-2013 and a prosecutor for 15 years. In 2017, the Hawaii State Bar Association recognized him as a "Champion for Social Justice" for being the first attorney general in the nation to obtain an injunction against the President's second and third executive orders banning travel from Muslim countries, a case that received national exposure and was eventually heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. Doug serves on multiple boards, including the National Leadership Center for Attorney General Studies, the Hawaii Book and Music Festival and the American Judicature Society. He is currently in the middle of a five-year term as a Honolulu Police Commissioner. The son of Chinese immigrants, Doug graduated from Stanford University and received his law degree from the University of Hawaii.

Jennifer Buckendorf

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to hold positions as an RBT, BCaBA and BCBA. I have worked in home, clinic and school settings and with clients from 18 months to adults. After starting work in the ABA field, I fell in love with the interactions with clients and their families, so decided to move forward in this field. My favorite part of my job is seeing a client's progress and different personalities while also teaching families autism management strategies to better their everyday life with their struggles related to autism. When I am not working, you can find me playing with my dogs, traveling and exploring all the islands have to offer.

Jim Ernest

Jim is the President & Chief Executive Officer for Provident Credit Union. He began his career in the savings and loan industry and has worked in banking and credit unions for over 30 years. Prior to working for Provident Credit Union, Jim was Vice President and Director of Mortgage Operations at Continental Savings of San Francisco and managed the mortgage operations for a commercial bank. He was an advisory member of the Fair Lending Consortium of the Bay Area, a member of Freddie Mac's National Credit Union Advisory Council and a member of the National Advisory Council for the CUNA Mutual Mortgage Insurance Company. Jim holds a BA in Economics from San Jose State University and an MBA from St. Mary's College in Moraga, California. He is also a graduate of the Credit Union Executive Society's CEO Institute. Jim has two children and resides in Danville with his wife.

Josh Stinson

Josh Stinson joined The MacNaughton Group as the Vice President of Development and Construction in the summer of 2015 with 19 years of experience working in a broad spectrum of commercial construction, including hospitality and resort, retail, and office buildings. His responsibilities involve executing the company's development projects from early conceptual design and entitlement processing through preconstruction, logistics planning and scheduling, budgeting, and management of active building sites - including Park Lane Ala Moana. During his ten years with Nordic PCL Construction, first as the Special Projects Division Manager and then the Operations Manager, Josh was instrumental in finalizing $370 million of work in place at NPCL while also managing over 100 salaried staff of construction and project managers, superintendents, and engineers. During his tenure, Josh was named to the 2013 Engineering News Record 20-Under-40 list for the California/Hawaii region. A native of Oregon, Josh received his Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University in Corvallis. He is an active member in community organizations, serving on the Easterseals Hawaii Board and the Aloha United Way Society of Young Leaders. His professional affiliations include Design Build Institute of America and Construction Management Association of America and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). During his free time, he likes to run, hike with his wife, ride his Harley motorcycle, swim with his young son, and cook.

Kathleen McLeod

I was born and raised in Hawaii. After returning from college, I had the opportunity to work at a youth shelter which led me to get my Master's in Social Work. I started my career as one of the first Intensive In-Home providers. During my time in this position, I was introduced to autism which ultimately led me down the path of getting my BCBA. I have over two decades of experience working with children, adolescents, and families who were a part of CAMHD, DOE, and insurance-funded services. I have served across many settings, including homes, schools, the community, clinics, residential, youth correctional centers and hospitals.

Kellie Arakaki-Kodama - VP

Kellie Arakaki-Kodama is the Vice President - Design & Construction Manager for Central Pacific Bank. She manages design and construction for new developments, upcoming renovations at Central Pacific Plaza, and various capital improvement projects. Prior to Central Pacific Bank, Kellie spent nine years in Las Vegas working in hospitality architecture and design, more recently at Philpotts Interiors and Nan Inc. in Honolulu. Kellie is a graduate of Punahou School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, School of Architecture. She is also a committee member of CMAA - Construction Management Association of America, Hawaii Chapter. Kellie and her husband, Matt, have two daughters, one of who was diagnosed with ADHD and high-functioning autism at the age of 7. In her spare time, Kellie enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Marty Hodgett

Marty is a Managing Director at Accenture working with some of the most successful companies in in the world. After graduating from California State University Fresno with a B.S. in Finance, Marty went on to earn his MBA at Notre Dame de Namur University. His experience includes over 20 years with Accenture working with some of the largest global retailers in the world including Best Buy, Starbucks and Adecco. He also has experience as a CIO with Orchard Supply Hardware, Symantec and Cord Blood Registry. In addition, Marty was CEO of RivalWatch, a retail pricing analytics SaaS platform, which was successfully sold in 2011. Marty is an advisor to multiple Silicon Valley start-ups and an active volunteer. His volunteer activities are focused on organizations that help to maximize the potential in every child. These organizations include International School of the Peninsula, the Charles Armstrong School and Serra High School.

I am originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin but have made my way around the country to complete internships and post-doctoral opportunities. My professional journey started as a School Psychologist and Behavior Specialist. Over the next decade, I held positions as a BCBA and a Mental Health Consultant before coming to Easterseals Hawaii. My favorite part of my job is celebrating my client's progress in their daily lives. When one of my Parent-Led clients echoes "Mama" for the first time, we throw a Zoom party to celebrate! It is moments like these I live for. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking and traveling.

Terri Fujii - CEO

Terri Fujii is the managing partner and an audit partner at CW Associates, CPAs, the seventh-largest CPA firm in Hawaii, as ranked by Pacific Business News. Previously, Terri was the managing partner of the Ernst & Young LLP, Honolulu Office, and a partner in its Assurance Services practice. She has over 30 years of experience in financial and internal audits, financial analysis and feasibility studies, cost management, organizational planning, operational reviews and corporate compliance issues. Terri has worked with healthcare, not-for-profit, lodging, airline, education, state government, and retail clients, and private and publicly held companies in Hawaii. Terri received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa Shidler College of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Hawaii. She is active in the community serving on the boards of Easterseals Hawaii (past Chair and Treasurer); Hospice Hawaii (past Chair and Treasurer), Aloha United Way (current Chair and past Treasurer), Hawaii Cancer Consortium (current Treasurer), Entrepreneurs Foundation of Hawaii (current Treasurer), Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (current board member), and Goodwill Industries Hawaii (current board member). She also served on the boards of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Red Cross, Hawaii Theatre Center, Honolulu Zoological Society, Catholic Charities Hawaii, and the Hawaii Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (past chair). She also serves on the Shidler College School of Accountancy Advisory Board as the chair and as a member of the Shidler College advisory board.
