Barbara Friedsam of Highland Consulting has contracted with our group as our Marketing Strategist. With more than 20+ years of marketing and agency experience servicing a variety of clients, Barbara brings strategy, research, execution and innovation to our team. Most recently, Barbara has combined her expertise with her education and passion for the outdoors as Sr. Director of Marketing for 1% for the Planet and other mission driven organizations and businesses. When she's not working, she can be found in the mountains on her skis or bike, with her dog Blue, or planning her next adventure somewhere off the beaten path.

Marie MacLeod possibly has the most varied experience in our team. Marie easily grasps the big picture and has worked with many agencies both for-profit and nonprofit. She brings extensive experience in budgeting; grant writing, program development, outreach and marketing, human resource management, and community service. Marie and Tom both serve on the board of Vermont AMBUCS and are partners in both work and life, having celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary this year. Marie enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, skiing, biking, hiking and anything that involves being outdoors!
Mike Adams is contracted to provide IT support and digital analytics, as well as social media guidance. Mike has extensive experience in IT administration, user experience, site analytics, digital marketing and e-commerce. He's worked in for-profit and non-profit sectors. Mike is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fly fishing, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding and surfing when he can catch a wave.

Tom McCarthy (President and Founder) began his outdoor career in retail in 1979, progressed to the position of buyer then wholesale customer service at Climb High. He served as the Purchasing Coordinator for Merrell. He founded Three Mountain Associates in 1992. His primary outdoor interests are biking, climbing, hiking, paddling and skiing. Tom is a former EORA board member and has developed long-term professional relationships with his peers. Tom has also served since 2007 on the board for Vermont AMBUCS, an organization that provides adaptive bicycles for people with mobility challenges.
