Anthony F. Kokx

Anthony F. Kokx, M.D. is a board certified surgeon experienced with cutting edge cataract surgery including light adjustable lenses, toric and multifocal lens placement as well as Iris reconstruction, refractive surgery (LASIK & PRK), and complex cataract cases. He treats a wide range of medical conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and blepharitis. Dr. Kokx is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.

Matthew M. Kruger

Matthew M. Kruger, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained specialist in cataract surgery, cornea and laser vision correction. Dr. Kruger has extensive experience in cataract surgery, refractive surgery including LASIK and PRK, corneal transplantation and partial corneal transplantation techniques such as DSAEK, DMEK and DALK. He will be providing his patients with comprehensive eye care using the latest medical and surgical technology and techniques. Dr. Kruger grew up in the Pacific Northwest before heading to the Northeast where he graduated from Dartmouth College. He was a Presidential Scholar and received the Howard Hughes Grant for undergraduate research at Dartmouth. After graduation, he spent a year volunteering at a medical mission hospital in West Africa and two years performing research in the Department of Physiology at Tufts University before starting his medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then moved to Texas for his ophthalmology residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center, the largest ophthalmology program in the U.S., where he served as clinic and surgery chief. After finishing residency, Dr. Kruger spent an additional year at UT Southwestern completing a fellowship in cornea, advanced cataract/lens replacement surgery and laser refractive surgery. He performs all the latest types of corneal transplantation including DSAEK, DMEK and DALK. Dr. Kruger practiced in the Boston area for over one year before coming to Denver. Dr. Kruger's interests include no stitch small incision cataract surgery with topical anesthesia without using needles, complex cataract surgery, dry eye treatment, refractive surgery, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and the treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Kruger is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Kruger enjoys spending time with his wife Jen, skiing, hiking, biking, traveling and learning new languages. He speaks French and Spanish and volunteers his time at the Stout Street Eye Clinic serving the homeless population of Denver.

Rebecca J. Brock

Rebecca Brock, M.D. has family roots in Colorado dating back 100 years. She graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder and received her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1982. She then went to the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Brock subsequently completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. Seeking a career which allowed her to pursue her medical and surgical interests, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas San Antonio, serving as chief resident during her final year of training. Dr. Brock returned to Denver in the summer of 1993, joining Dr. Stuart Frankel in private practice as an eye physician and surgeon. She is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Brock's practice blends her unique training in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology with her special interest in diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eyes and cataracts. Dr. Brock has been a clinic instructor for St. Anthony' Family Medicine Residency since 1995, has been a Top Doctor in 5280, received Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in 2013, Most Compassionate Doctor in 2012 and Patient's Choice Award in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Dr. Brock is married to Dr. Brack Hattler, a cardiologist at the VA Medical Center and Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. They have two daughters, Erin and Brenna. When Dr. Brock is not busy with her practice, she enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking and gardening.
