At Balboa Counseling, whether we counsel individuals, couples, or families, we do so in a holistic, relational context. We look at human beings as part of an organic, interconnected and interdependent system of individuals, all of whom must be understood within the context of the overall system. Each member has a role to play and rules to respect. Within the boundaries of the system, patterns develop that may lead to balance but also individual or collective function and dysfunction... We work with families, couples, individuals, adults and children to support them in developing the strategies and skills they need to achieve their personal, professional and intellectual goals... The clients we serve come from a wide range of personal experiences, challenges, orientations, economic means, and cultural backgrounds.
