Burkett was instrumental in the formation of the Preferred Builder Program by Big Canoe Developer Bill Byrne in 1993. Projects for the Big Canoe POA include the renovation of the Canoe Lodge (currently the POA offices) and the Sconti Club Veranda. He has specialized in custom home construction and land development business for over 24 years and has constructed over 300 homes in the state of Georgia and Texas. His projects include designing and constructing homes and serving as general contractor for several commercial projects, such as a new business offices, restaurants, retail strip center as well as residential and commercial land development...
