Andrew R. Ochroch

Andrew Ochroch has been with the firm since 2013. Since arriving at the firm, Andrew has handled a variety of insurance coverage, bad faith, and personal injury matters. Andrew has also handled numerous commercial litigation matters, including the prosecution of breach of warranty action against a manufacturing client's supplier, and the representation of a minority shareholder's rights in a dispute over corporate governance. Andrew graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Finance. In, 2013, Andrew received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School Law, with honors. Prior to graduation, Andrew spent a summer interning for the Honorable Timothy J. Savage, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Brett Benton is a partner at the Richard M. Ochroch & Associates, P.C. law firm, where he has practiced since 2005. During this time, he has represented businesses and individuals in complex insurance coverage and recovery actions in both state and federal court. Brett routinely assists individuals and businesses with disputed liability claims. He has worked on behalf of his clients to successfully challenge improper liability claim denials, ensuring his clients receive both a defense and indemnification to claims asserted against them, with a significant amount of experience in the construction, property development, and transportation industries. Brett has also assisted clients in obtaining substantial recoveries from property and health insurance carriers. He obtained a significant recovery of insurance proceeds on behalf of an oil refinery following a large industrial fire, and served as co-class counsel in an action that recovered $1.5 million on behalf of approximately 3,500 Pennsylvania automobile policy holders. Recently, he served as co-class counsel in an action that resulted in a more than $3 million settlement on behalf of insureds diagnosed with head, neck, and brain cancers who were denied Proton Beam Therapy treatment by their health insurer. He also represents victims of negligence in a wide variety of Brett Benton graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A. in Political Science. In 2004, Brett received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, with honors. Brett also received an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy in 2010 from Temple University's Beasley School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®). Brett is the Board Chair of the Pennsylvania Court Appointed Special Advocates, and serves a volunteer attorney at the Philadelphia Support Center for Child Advocates, where he represents children in dependency actions.

Richard M. Ochroch

Richard Ochroch's primary areas of practice are insurance law, commercial litigation, and personal injury litigation. Over the past 40 years, he has represented over a thousand insureds in property insurance cases, resulting in settlements and verdicts in excess of $350 million. Since 1983, Mr. Ochroch has been the managing shareholder of the Philadelphia law firm of Richard M. Ochroch & Associates, P.C. After receiving his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, he attended Villanova University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1975. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association as well as a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy. Mr. Ochroch was awarded Martindale-Hubbell's highest designation - an "AV" rating. Mr. Ochroch has planned courses, published articles and spoken at many seminars and workshops concerning insurance coverage and insurance bad faith.
