Cooper River Park in Collingswood is always buzzing with activity. This 5-mile-long green area around the Cooper River is a hub of activity at any time of day. It includes several statues, sculptures, and historical sites, as well as numerous biking, walking, and running trails around the river. Enjoy your time here canoeing, kayaking, taking sailing lessons, or watching rowing competitions on select weekends (but know that no swimming is permitted). On top of being a family-friendly spot, this park is also praised for having a playground, running track, and plenty of benches close to the water, where you can relax and watch the Philadelphia skyline sunset. In the colder months, locals and visitors come to Cooper River Park for WinterFest Skating. Another great park in the neighborhood is Knight Park. Located close to Collingswood High School, it houses the school's sports activities including women's field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and softball games. In the summer, outdoor movie nights are one of Knight Park's most popular community events as well as exploring the biking trails and relaxing by the pond.
