Khaled Al Wazir

Khaled Al Wazir is a Special Counsel at SASLO. He is Head of Disputes, covering Oman arbitrations and complex litigation projects. Khalid is an advocate and legal consultant with 24 years of experience in different areas of law and specialization in Maritime Law. Khaled held the post of Minister of Transport in Yemen for four years, prior to which he served four years as the President of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Maritime Affairs. He has owned a law firm in Yemen since 2013 and has advised and represented in various government cases. Khaled has vast expertise in laws and regulations related to transport, maritime environmental protection, and the oil and gas fields. He is licensed to appear before courts in all levels in Yemen, and possesses a wide legal practice area including specialization in commercial, civil, criminal, banking and international construction contracts (FIDIC) cases, as well as, maritime and maritime environment disputes. Khaled's experience also includes drafting and reviewing all types of contracts and agreements, including international and commercial contracts and agreements (such as construction and sale contracts) and distribution agreements between foreign companies and local producers or distributors. He also has experience analyzing internal regulations, bylaws, and administrative structures for administrative investigation and employment discipline. Malcolm Dickinson

Malcolm Dickinson is SASLO's first Chief Executive Officer. He is a successful law firm leader with particular expertise in strategy. He has a law degree from Cambridge University and trained as a solicitor in the City of London. He then spent several years as legal counsel in a global corporation before joining the UK Law firm Michelmores in 1989. As head of its corporate department, he advised on all forms of corporate finance work and a broad range of other corporate and commercial advice. Malcolm became the first Managing Partner at Michelmores in 2008 and stood down after 10 years in 2018. Under his leadership the turnover of the firm grew from £11 million to £40 million. He also has extensive experience of operating in China and advised on the creation of the first UK regulated ABS law firm owned by Chinese lawyers called Yangtze Law. Salah Al Alawi


Salim Al

Salim is an Associate at SASLO's Corporate Team. Salim Abdullah Al Harthi is a qualifuedOmani lawyer, who graduated from Brunel University with a Bachelor's Degree in Law in 2018. After graduation, Salim joined a reputable Omani company where he assisted with a full range of corporate and commercial legal works. Salim joined SASLO in December 2019 as a trainee lawyer. Salim has been instrumental in major corporate and banking & finance transactions during past two years. These transactions encompass legal work for financial institutions, international telecommunications companies, and diverse clients across the sectors of shipping services, hotel resorts, government-owned entities, and the oil and gas industry. Salim's contributions have involved financing, due diligence, pre-sale restructuring, and advisory services. Salim is fluent in both Arabic and English. Salonee Kulkarni

Salonee is a Senior Associate in SASLO's Commercial Disputes and International Arbitrations Teams. Salonee is an Indian lawyer admitted to the Bar in 2011. She specializes in high value and complex civil and commercial disputes in litigation as well as arbitration. Prior to joining SASLO, Salonee was a senior member of the highly acclaimed dispute resolution practice of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., in Mumbai, India. In her earlier roles, Salonee has regularly represented and appeared for Indian and foreign clients before Courts and Tribunals throughout India and in arbitrations (ad hoc as well as institutional). She is skilled in litigation, advisory work and alternative dispute resolution in areas of commercial contracts, construction contracts, real estate, corporate disputes, insolvency& bankruptcy, enforcement procedures and constitutional matters (India).

Shakir Ali Yousif

Shakir Ali Yousif Gabralla is a bilingual senior Sudanese lawyer. He graduated in law from the University of Khartoum in 1980. Shakir served as a judge in Sudan as well as an advocate for 20 years. In Oman, Shakir worked as a legal advisor for a reputable national company - Oman United Insurance Company SAOG ("OUIC"). During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in general insurance as well as life insurance matters. Shakir's areas of practice include advising on the Labour Law, the Commercial Companies Law and the Capital Markets Law. During his time with the OUIC, Shakir acted as Compliance Officer to contribute to raising the standards of practice in securities to internationally competitive levels and addressing various compliance issues. Shakir worked as a legal advisor for the Information Technology Authority of the Sultanate of Oman for 9 years, where he played a significant role in reviewing and drafting the Electronic Transactions Law. He is well acquainted with E-Legislation and possesses excellent drafting skills. Education L.L.B, University of Khartoum, 1980.

Tarek El Hassan

With his extensive experience in litigation, Tarek brings valuable expertise to the firm's dispute resolution practice. His deep understanding of complex civil, commercial, labour, and insurance cases, gained through over 20 years of practice, positions him as a trusted advisor in handling domestic disputes. Prior to joining SASLO, Tarek held prominent positions in renowned law firms in Lebanon, including being Partner & Head of Litigation at Antoine Abboud & Associates and Partner & Co-Head of Litigation at Alem & Associates. His proficiency in litigation, coupled with his knowledge of regulatory and general corporate matters, strengthens SASLO's capabilities in providing comprehensive legal solutions to clients. Also in Lebanon, Tarek acted ad the Legal Advisor of the Lebanese Minister of Finance and the Insurnace Control Commission. As head of disputes at SASLO, Tarek plays a crucial role in guiding clients through challenging legal situations, offering strategic advice, and representing their interests in various dispute resolution forums.
