Turnagain Kayak is a small, family owned and operated company, based in Hope, Alaska. Established in 2012, we continue to grow and cultivate the Alaskan adventure. After operating in Palmer, Alaska for a couple of years, we wanted to create a hub where paddlers could find lodging, meet for classes, shop for high quality gear and be close to the water. We chose Hope. Since moving to Hope we have expanded to teaching Packrafting, Whitewater Kayaking, and Stand Up Paddleboarding... We wanted to provide high performance sea kayak instruction that focused on long term student development, utilizing today's best practices. We believe everyone should have local access to quality equipment, knowledgeable service and instruction. So we quit our day jobs... We work with ACA and BCU coaches to provide a comprehensive method for refining your paddling skills.
