Abby Kain

Abby Kain is in her second year as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the University of Illinois Springfield for the 2023-2024 school year. She will provide athletic training services for the volleyball, women's basketball, and the cross country/track & field programs. Kain received her Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2022. Kain has been BOC certified since 2022. She holds memberships with the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association. The native of Inver Grove Heights, Minn. is the daughter of Darren and Jodi Kain.

Adam Eberhard

Adam Eberhard joined the coaching staff at UIS after a year at Carson-Newman University and a year on Rick Barnes' staff at Tennessee in which the Vols won their first SEC Championship since 1979. Eberhard was a three-time All-American at Bellarmine University and was a part of 4 NCAA tournament teams, 3 GLVC Championships, 2 NCAA Sweet 16's and 1 NCAA Final Four. He went on to play two years of professional basketball in Germany and Luxembourg. A native of Evansville, Ind. where he attended Reitz Memorial High School, Eberhard finished his four-year collegiate career as one of the most decorated players in program history Bellarmine (2015-2019). Eberhard earned his bachelor's degree in sports administration from Bellarmine University and his master's degree in science recreation and sport management from the University of Tennessee.

Adam Hall

Adam Hall is in his eighth season as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team in 2023. Hall has rebuilt the men's soccer program to its highest level since moving to the NCAA. He has a 70-46-28 record at UIS, and a 79-53-30 mark in his career as an NCAA men's soccer head coach. Under Hall, the Prairie Stars have been marked by a strong defense, and advanced to the GLVC Championship Final twice. Offensively, UIS has had its top 5 scoring seasons at the NCAA level since Hall has taken over the program.

Allison Thornley

Allison Thornley is in her 13th year working in the University of Illinois Springfield athletics department during the 2023-24 school year. In 2020, she was promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Planning and Finance, and was also named the Athletics Department Senior Woman Administrator. One of the primary duties of the SWA at UIS to perform various functions associated with student-athlete welfare and discipline. Thornley will serve as an institutional representative to the NCAA and GLVC, as well as an ex-officio member of the UIS Intercollegiate Athletic Committee. She will oversee gender equity planning and compliance with Title IX, while advising and acting as a resource for female coaches, staff, and athletes. Other duties include assisting with the NCAA ISSG review on behalf of the University as required by the NCAA, and serving as a liaison with key constituents across campus and in the community as needed. Thornley came to the Prairie Star Athletic Department from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was the Resource and Policy Analyst for the Department of Animal Sciences. In that capacity she managed human resource processes, visa processing, purchasing and the graduate student program. Prior to her time as Resource and Policy Analyst, Thornley was the Assistant to the Interim Assistant to the Head of the Department of Animal Sciences. During her one year as the Assistant, she helped develop fiscal reports and budgets for the Research Farms as well as training secretarial and management staff with business operating systems. Thornley was also the Assistant to the Research Farms Manager. In that job she maintained account management and reporting for Animal Sciences Research Farms, managed a cost recovery/inventory system, and also assisted in the development of an animal inventory system. A native of Arrowsmith, Ill., Thornley earned her Bachelor's degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004 majoring in Agribusiness, Farm and Financial Management.

Amy Pruitt

Amy Pruitt is in her second year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Excellence at the University of Illinois Springfield in 2023-24. Pruitt worked at the University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts from 2007-2022. From 2013-22, she was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid. She was responsible for student retention, recruitment, and administering financial aid. She worked with students on their path to graduation, and helping them find employment. Prior to that role, she was an Admissions Officer at the school. From 2003-2007, Pruitt was an Account Manager at The Office Works. She helped develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand current customers and acquire new customers. She primarily worked in the education market. Pruitt graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies. Amy and her husband, Bryan, have two children, Emme and Brock, and they live in Chatham, Ill. She has been involved in sports her entire life, and is active on committees with Ball-Chatham sports.

Andrea Scapolo

Andrea Scapolo was selected as the D2 CCA First Team All-American Goalkeeper while Adames was picked to the D2 CCA Second Team All-America. Tweddle was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American.

Ashli King

Ashli King is in her third season as a member of the University of Illinois Springfield softball coaching staff in 2024. King helped the Prairie Stars to their first 30-win season since 2018 in 2022, and it was their fifth in program history. Offensively, UIS had one of the top scoring teams in the GLVC with 5.4 runs per game, and it ranked fifth in NCAA Division II in stolen bases per game. Three hitters were named to the all-GLVC team, and two earned all-region honors. King was a member of the UIS program as a player from 2015-16. She was named all-conference in 2015 after one of the top offensive seasons in program history, including a .600 slugging percentage and .468 on-base percentage. She finished her career with a .320 batting average, .531 slugging percentage, and a .435 on-base percentage. She had 43 runs, 51 RBI, 17 doubles, and 13 home runs in 102 games. King started her college coaching career at Western Illinois University for the 2017-18 seasons. King helped that program win six more games that the previous year in her first season, and the Leathernecks won 39 contests in her two seasons in Macomb. From 2019-2021, King was an assistant coach at Lindenwood University. The Lions won 63 games in that span and had a .635 winning percentage. Last year's team advanced to the GLVC Tournament in its first full season in the league. At Lindenwood, King worked primarily with the catchers and outfielders. She helped coached seven all-conference players, and one second-team all-region performer. Other coaching experience for King includes being the head coach at Sauk Valley Community College in the fall of 2018, and coaching the Quad City Extreme Havoc 18U and the Sauk Valley Lady Sharks 12U summer teams while in college. King earned her Bachelor of Communication degree from UIS in 2016, and earned a Master of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois in 2018. King is originally from Sterling, Ill. and attended Sterling High School.

Brendon Gooch

Brendon Gooch is an assistant coach for the UIS Men's Basketball team. He is a Belleville, Ill. native and played in the GLVC as a Mckendree Bearcat from 2020 to 2022. He earned Second Team All-GLVC honors during the 2020-21 season. Gooch graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He played 69 games in three seasons as a Saluki. Gooch transferred to McKendree where he appeared in 37 games over two years, averaging 12.0 points per game during his time there. He went on to play professionally for the Drogheda Wolves National League Team in Drogheda, Ireland in 2022.

Carissa Spiker

Carissa Spiker is an Assistant Coach for the UIS Women's Basketball team. Formerly, Carissa served in many professional roles. Her diverse experience will empower her as she will lead the program's efforts in: player development both on the court and off, travel logistics, social media engagement and the organization of our recruitment efforts. Spiker earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Young Harris College, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Alderson Broaddus. She also competed on the basketball team at each school.

Chris Camburn

Chris Camburn is in his sixth year as the University of Illinois Springfield Head Athletics Trainer in 2023-24. Camburn oversees the athletics sports medicine department for the Prairie Stars' 17 sports programs, and is the primary athletic trainer for men's basketball, tennis, and golf. Prior to coming to UIS, Camburn was in the athletic training office at Saginaw Valley State for 12 years. He was named an assistant athletic trainer in 2006 at Saginaw Valley State. In 2017, he was promoted to Associate Head Athletic Trainer. In his final year at Saginaw Valley, he was responsible for providing coverage for the football and golf teams at Saginaw Valley. Camburn has been a BOC certified trainer since 2006. He holds membership in the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association, Michigan Athletic Trainers' Society, and the College Athletic Trainers' Society. The Michigan native graduated from Saginaw Valley in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Athletic Training. He went on to earn a Master's of Science Degree in Health Leadership in 2012 from Saginaw Valley. Other experiences includes completing an athletic training internship with the Baltimore Ravens in 2005 and 2006.

Chris Rodriguez

Chris Rodriguez is an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the UIS Baseball team. Rodriguez, formerly the Director of Baseball Operations at Jacksonville University, will work closely with the UIS pitching staff. Rodriguez has experience at the NCAA Division I level, including using his kinesiology background in combination with baseball technology such as pitch tracking software. Five athletes went on to play professional baseball in his three years at Jacksonville University. The program set its record strikeouts per nine innings (9.70) and lowest opponent batting average (.247) in 2022. The Dolphins won the ASUN Championship and advanced to Columbia Regional in the spring 2021 season. Rodriguez, an alum of Wright State, served as a volunteer assistant for the Raiders in 2018 before taking on the role of Director of Player Development in the spring of 2019. Rodriguez served as the Coordinator of Player Development for the University of Central Florida in the fall of 2019 before being hired by the Arizona Diamondbacks in January of 2020. Rodriguez also has a background in international coaching, serving as an assistant in the summer of 2018 for the Lithuanian National Team for a bid to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. He helped lead the team to a Pool B Championship in the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB). Rodriguez played for Kishwaukee College during the 2016 season, where he led the Kougars to an Arrowhead Conference championship. His playing career started at Spring Hill College in 2012 before he transferred to Volunteer State in 2013. Rodriguez received his Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Wright State University and Master's in Kinesiology from Jacksonville University.

Dan Frank

Dan Frank is in his sixth season in 2024 as an assistant coach for the University of Illinois Springfield softball team. He assists the team's outfielders. During the 2022 season, UIS won 31 games, its first 30-win season since 2018. One of the players he worked with in the outfielder was all-GLVC and all-region performer Jillian Mathis. In 2021, Frank helped UIS win 19 games and reach the GLVC Tournament. He helped coached outfielder Calla Wickenhauser, who earned first-team all-conference and first-team all-region honors. Frank assisted the 2020 team which finished its shortened season with a 10-8 mark. That squad was the GLVC's leaders in home runs and slugging percentage, and the three primary UIS outfielders had a combined .413 batting average on the year. Frank came to UIS after two seasons as an assistant coach at Lincoln Land Community College. In 2018 and 2019, the Loggers went 58-45 overall. In 2018, the team advanced to the NJCAA Division II Nationals, and last season the program won a conference championship. Frank was a coach at Benedictine University Springfield from 2013-15. He helped Benedictine qualify for its first conference tournament in 2014. He also coached at Southeast High School in Springfield, Ill. from 1996-2001. Frank was a former employee for the City of Springfield, until his retirement in 2017. Frank and his wife, Debbie, have two children, Mandy and Travis.

Dr. Jamarco R. Clark

Dr. Jamarco R. Clark joined UIS as the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs on June 12, 2023. In his role as Vice Chancellor, Dr. Clark leads the Student Affairs division, which includes Athletics, Campus Recreation, the Career Development Center, the Counseling Center, Disability Services, the Diversity Center, Food Services, Gender and Sexuality Student Services, Greek Life, Health Services, Military and Veteran Student Services, International Student Services, Residence Life, Student Life, the Student Union, the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center and the Women's Center. Prior to becoming the Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs at UIS, Dr. Clark served as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Leadership & Engagement at The University of Iowa. Dr. Clark has also served at Coe College, Truman State University, Mount Mercy University, and Indian Hills Community College. Dr. Clark holds a Doctor of Education in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, a Master of Strategic Leadership from Mount Mercy University, and a Bachelor of Science in Educational Foundations from Iowa Wesleyan College.

Dr. Marcel Yoder

Dr. Marcel Yoder is in his 20 th year in 2023-24 as the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for the University of Illinois Springfield athletics department. In his role as the FAR, Yoder helps to ensure student-athlete welfare and the academic integrity and institutional control of the athletics program. Yoder is also the liaison for the UIS Campus Senate. Throughout his tenure as the FAR, Yoder has taken initiative to improve the student-athlete experience. He established a faculty mentor program and is involved in the concussion safety protocol process, where his passion is to provide a safe environment for proper recovery. In 2017, Yoder earned the Dr. Dave Pariser Faculty Mentor Award from the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The award goes to a faculty member to celebrate their commitment to NCAA Division II student-athletes' lifelong learning, competition, and well-being.

Emmons King

Emmons King is in his second season as the head coach for the UIS cross country/track and field program in 2023-24. He has been a member of the program since 2018, first as a runner from 2018-21, and then as an assistant coach in 2021-22. The UIS Prairie Stars men's cross country team won its first GLVC Championship in 2022 after finishing in the top-3 every year since 2018. Wyatt McIntyre was the individual champion and GLVC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, while Coach King was the GLVC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. The UIS men's cross country team earned a bid to the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships, its first team qualification for the meet. The team finished 6th as Wyatt McIntyre finished 26th overall to become UIS men's cross country's first All-American.

Erin Egolf

Erin Egolf is in her ninth season as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer program in 2023. She is in her 15th consecutive year as a member of the program between being a player, assistant coach, and the head coach. Egolf was an assistant coach for the Prairie Stars from 2013-15. In that time, UIS improved its record each year, including winning five overall games and four conference contests in 2015. Egolf graduated in May 2013 from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, and graduated in May 2015 from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Master of Business Administration.

Jason Vlcek

Jason Vlcek is in his ninth season as an assistant coach for the University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer program in 2023-24. He primarily serves as the goalkeeper coach. Vlcek's coaching has helped UIS have its best goalkeeping in program history during his time. The Prairie Stars have recorded 29 shutouts under Vlcek. Over the last five years, he has coached five different starting goalies, and all five are ranked in the top-seven all-time in program history for GAA in a season. He has coached one all-conference player (Paige Polonus in 2015), and his goalies have been named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week four times. Vlcek has been part of the Springfield soccer community for more than 20 years. A former goalie for the Prairie Stars in 1997, he has worked directly with goalies at the club, high school, and college level ever since. He currently holds his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National D License and National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Goalkeeper Level 1 and 2 Diplomas.

Libby Price

Libby Price is in her first year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications & Operations for UIS Athletics in 2023-24. She previously worked with the department as a graduate assistant in 2022-23 and marketing intern in 2020-21. Libby is an alum of the UIS Cross Country/Track and Field program, for which she competed from 2017 to 2021. During that time, Libby competed in all four NCAA Midwest Regional cross country meets and placed top-five in the GLVC Championships 800-meter run. She was named UIS's recipient of the 2021-22 GLVC James R. Spalding Individual Sportsmanship Award. Libby completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2021 and Master of Arts in communication in 2023.

Matt Brock

Matt Brock finished his fifth season as the head coach of the UIS men's basketball team in 2023-24. He is the fourth head coach in the program's history. Brock was also an assistant coach at Hannibal-LaGrange in 2007-2008, and was the head coach at Green City High School in 2006-07. His Hannibal-LaGrange squad picked up the most wins in eight seasons, and his Green City team won 20 games, and was the conference and district runner-up.

Michael Leotta

Michael Leotta is in his third season as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield golf program in 2023-24. It is his second stint at UIS after previously being an assistant coach for the Prairie Stars. The UIS golf program had a historical year in 2022-23 as UIS women's golf won its first conference championship, freshman Alex Seibal earned First Team All-GLVC recognition after finishing in the top-5 at the GLVC Men's Golf Championship, and Coach Leotta was named the GLVC Women's Golf Coach of the Year. The women's team earned its first automatic bid to the NCAA Regional, going on to finish 8th. Heather McLean advanced to the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships as an individual. In his first year as the head coach, Leotta helped Madison DeRousse advance to the NCAA Regional Championships as an individual. DeRousse had a top-10 scoring average in UIS history. UIS men's and women's individuals had four top-five finishes on the year, including tournament runner-up showings by Spencer Jury and DeRousse. Leotta was an assistant for the Prairie Stars from 2013-16. He helped the men's team advance to two GLVC Match Plays at the conference tournament. He also assisted in coaching Talon Supak, the first UIS men's golfer to win the NCAA Regional Tournament, advance to the NCAA national Championships, and to be named an All-American. Leotta was the first assistant Golf Professional at the Illini Country Club from 2005-2016, and chaired the junior golf program at that course with an annual enrollment of 125 kids. The PGA Certified Professional is currently a teaching professional in the Springfield area.

Oscar Booth

Oscar Booth is an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at UIS. Booth, was formerly the head Strength & Conditioning coach at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Booth received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University in Saint Paul. While he was a full-time student, Oscar was also the Strength & Conditioning coach at DeLaSalle High School where he created and administered strength and conditioning programs for nine varsity sports plus individuals from co-op sports.

Ross Graham

Head Coach Ross Graham took the helm of the UIS tennis program in 2022. He led the Prairie Stars men's and women's tennis teams to the GLVC Tournament in spring 2023. Graham is a native of of Atlanta, Ill., coached at Springfield High from 1998 to 2017. He is a 1993 graduate of Illinois State University who became the director of tennis at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center that same year.

Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson is in his forth year as the UIS Athletics Director of Strength and Conditioning in 2023-24. He is the second person to oversee the Prairie Stars Strength and Conditioning program since it was started in 2016. Johnson comes to UIS from the University of Missouri, where he was the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports since 2018. Johnson was responsible for the athletic performance program for the Missouri baseball team, and assisted with the cross country, track and field, and swimming programs. He also assisted in the development and implementation of the internship program. Johnson was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Southeast Missouri State University from 2011-2018. At Southeast Missouri, he supervised, educated, and managed all strength and conditioning staff personnel. From 2015-18, he was responsible for the sports performance program for the men's and women's basketball programs. During Johnson's time there, he also worked with the volleyball, softball, baseball, women's soccer, track sprinters, women's gymnastics, and football programs. Among his accomplishments at Southeast Missouri include developing a nutrition center next to the weight room for student-athletes, and designing a complete renovation of the strength and conditioning facility. From 2006-2011, Johnson worked in the Strength and Conditioning Office at Delaware State University, including serving as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for two years. At Delaware State, he designed and implemented comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for all of their sports. Johnson has also worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern for the University of Iowa football team in 2006, was a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2004-06, and a Strength and Conditioning Intern at Central College in 2004. Johnson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), and Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC). Other certifications include Level 1 Precision Nutrition, Level 1 and 2 Functional Movement Screen, FRCms and FRA Functional Anatomy, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Johnson was a three-year letterwinner from 2001-03 for the Central College football team. He was a team captain, an academic all-conference selection, and the winner of the 2003 Mentink Award, given for sportsmanship and leadership on and off the field. He participated in rugby for a variety of teams from 2004-2010, including making four MARFU Sevens All-Star teams while playing for the Wilmington Rugby Football Club. Johnson graduated from Central College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science major. He earned his Masters of Arts degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2006.

Shannon Guthrie

Shannon Guthrie is in her tenth season as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield softball program in 2024. Guthrie is the top coach in program history, and enters the season with a career coaching mark of 247-194. Guthrie has led the Prairie Stars to more than 30 wins in each of the last two seasons, including 34 in 2023. UIS advanced to the NCAA Tournament as the 5-seed. UIS ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II in stolen bases. Nine Prairie Stars earned All-GLVC honors while Danielle Dennis earned All-Region honors. No stranger to the Springfield area, Guthrie is a Chatham native who is returning near her hometown after a six-year stint with the Illinois State softball program, serving as its pitching coach.

Summer Quesenberry is in her second season at the University of Illinois Springfield in 2023-24 as the women's basketball head coach. Quesenberry is starting her eleventh season as a collegiate head coach, including at NCAA Division II Alderson Broaddus for two years before coming to Springfield. She turned the program around at Alderson Broaddus. She went 20-25 in two seasons, advanced to the conference tournament in both seasons, and advanced to the MEC Quarterfinals in 2021. The 2021-22 team went 13-14 overall and 10-12 in MEC action. The overall record was the best at the school in 14 years, while the conference mark was the top one in 24 seasons. The Battlers ended a 14-year postseason drought in 2021, and made back-to-back appearances in the conference tournament in 2022 for the first time in 20 years. Quesenberry led the turnaround on the offensive side of the ball. In her first season, Alderson Broaddus improved by over nine points a game, and averaged 72.8 points a contest. Last year, the program improved that mark to 76.1 points per game, and it shot nearly 45 percent from the field. Last year, The Battlers were top-four in the MEC, a conference that included the 2022 NCAA Division II National Champion, in assists, blocked shots, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, offensive rebounds per game, rebound margin, and three-point field-goal percentage defense. Quesenberry was the head women's basketball coach at Lourdes from 2016-18. The 2017-18 team set program records for most wins and most conference wins. She was the head coach at Brescia from 2012-16. She won 53 games over four seasons. Her final squad in 2015-16 won 13 conference games, the most in program history. That team was division runner-up, which was the best conference finish in program history. She was also the interim head coach at Vassar for the 2008-09 season. Prior to Alderson Broaddus, Quesenberry coached one season at Urbana University for the men's program. That team set a new program record for most conference wins in a season, and advanced to the conference postseason tournament for the first time. She was also a women's basketball assistant coach at the College of Mount Saint Joseph for one year, and Christopher Newport for two seasons. At the latter program, Quesenberry helped the team be ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division III, and advance to the national semifinals in 2011. Quesenberry was a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's basketball from 2006-08. She appeared in 37 games for the Battling Bishops. Quesenberry graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. She is on track to earn her Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in 2023.

Trevor Forde

Trevor Forde is in his first season as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield baseball team in 2024. Forde was previously the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Indianapolis. He spent ten years with the program, three as an athlete (2014-16) and seven as an assistant coach (2017-23). The Evanston, Ill. native started his collegiate career at Heartland Community College where his teams made two World Series appearances and compiled an impressive record of 110-18. Forde then moved on to play at UIndy. As a Greyhound, Forde started a total of 45 games through two seasons and notched 24 hits and 12 RBIs at the plate. Forde graduated from the University of Indianapolis with both a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a Master of Science in Sport Management. Forde becomes the fourth head coach of Prairie Stars Baseball.

Tyler Pence

Tyler Pence will be in his eighth season on the coaching staff at the University of Illinois Springfield in 2023-24. He will return to being an assistant coach in 2022-23 after three seasons as the head coach. Pence took a step back after entering the Springfield Fire Department Fire Academy. Pence built UIS into one of the top distance programs in the NCAA Midwest Region. In three seasons as head coach, he has helped the program earn 16 all-GLVC honors in cross country, including two individual GLVC Championships, and win eight individual GLVC Championships in track and field. He has also coached the first NCAA Division II National Championship qualifiers in program history. In 2021, Pence led the UIS men's cross country team to a second-place finish at the GLVC Cross Country Championships. Four runners earned all-GLVC honors, including the GLVC Runner of the Year and GLVC Freshman of the Year. One women also earned all-GLVC, and three runners on the men's and women's teams were all-region and NCAA national qualifiers.

Zoe Summa

Zoe Summa is the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance at UIS. Summa comes to UIS after a year as the Compliance Graduate Assistant at Wingate University (NCAA DII, South Atlantic Conference). Summa monitored recruiting activities for all sports at Wingate and assisted in the administration of the NLI program and rules education for coaches, staff, and student athletes. Prior to her time at Wingate, Summa worked in the compliance office at NCAA DI Sacred Heart University. There, she developed mental health awareness programs for student-athletes.
