Dr. Angela Sharma is proud to be a native Calgarian. She received her Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) from the University of Calgary. After graduation, she was accepted at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida for her dental program. After receiving her dental degree (DMD) from Florida, she went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Hawaii. Following her residency, she returned to Calgary and practiced general dentistry for a number of years. Dr. Sharma was then accepted into the specialization program in Orthodontics at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. After two and a half years of further intensive program, she earned her Doctor of Health Sciences (DHsc.) in Orthodontics and a designation of a specialist in Orthodontics. She has published a number of research papers in the field of dentistry. Her research work in orthodontics has been published in the prestigious American Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry (JERD 2010) "Black Triangles: Regeneration and Remediation." Following graduation, she returned to her home in Calgary to set up her own practice. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS Dr. Sharma is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is also a member of the: Canadian Association of Orthodontists. American Association of Orthodontists. Canadian Dental Association. Alberta Dental Association Dr. Angela Sharma is a general dentist and orthodontic specialist, not a cosmetic dentist. Cosmetic Dentistry and Family Dentistry is not a term/specialty recognized by the Alberta Dental Association & College [ADA&C]. Dr. Sharma and her team provide cosmetic dental procedures such as porcelain veneers, dental implant crowns, dental bonding, and teeth whitening as part of her general dentist and orthodontics specialty license. Dr. Sharma and her team provide general dental procedures for all ages within the family.,
