With more than two decades as a public relations agency owner and leader, Betty has a specialty in strategic planning and special event marketing/management. She is an author and an experienced public speaker, conducting seminars on communications and media relations topics. Before opening her own agency, Betty served the corporate world for nearly 10 years as vice president with responsibility for corporate communications and human resources with a 1,200-store retail chain. She began her career as a newspaper journalist and worked for ESPN as an equestrian commentator. Betty serves on Boards of Trustees for Ohio Historical Society and Ohioana Library Association. She is a graduate of Lake Erie College and certified by the Public Relations Society of America.

With a passion for writing and the world of business, Joyce recognized early that public relations and marketing were the fields for her. Her career has ranged from major brand launches and international project management to industry-leading community affairs programming. Prior to launching her own agency, Joyce worked for several industry-leading organizations, including the nation's top fundraising organization, a global public relations firm and a leading, global energy company. A member of the board of the Effective Leadership Academy, Joyce is active in church and community organizations and is an avid student of history. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton, and a masters of business administration from Baldwin-Wallace University.
