Mark Lautzenheiser - CFO

Serving as Chief Financial Officer for CHESS, Mark Lautzenheiser not only focuses on the financial management of the company, but also provides financial and analytical expertise to our clients. Mark joined the CHESS team in February 2015, with over 16 years of experience in healthcare analytics. The data and financial analytic reports that Mark provides plays a key role in determining the current and future health care spend for each of our partners, allowing them to see the impact, both in quality and in cost, their value-based initiatives have on their health system, ensuring they achieve the maximum benefit for their ACO.

Michael Berwanger

​Michael returned to CHESS as the Chief Compliance and Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in June 2019 after previously serving at Cornerstone Health Care, PA and CHESS from 2012-2016. Prior to his return, he was Director of Quality Management and Compliance and HIPAA Privacy Official for MedCost, LLC from 2016-2019. In his current role, Michael is responsible for overseeing and providing guidance relating to corporate, legal, and regulatory compliance. He also provides guidance and oversight to the company's risk management, regulatory affairs, and HIPAA Privacy programs. Michael earned his JD at New England School of Law.

Yates Lennon

Yates Lennon, MD, MMM, currently serves as the President and Chief Transformation Officer for CHESS Health Solutions. He is nationally known for his work in quality, previously serving on the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Quality Leadership Council and presently on the National Association of Accountable Care Organization's Quality Committee. Dr. Lennon's background includes 23 years as a practicing OB/GYN and a Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He served as Chief Quality Officer for Cornerstone Health Care before joining CHESS in 2018 as Chief Transformation Officer. Dr. Lennon assumed the role of President in 2021. He has a deep understanding of practice transformation and how to engage physicians and their staff. His value-based care expertise allows him to translate his knowledge into initiatives that health care teams understand and can implement to ultimately transform patient care.
