Aaron Woollam

Job Titles:

Aaron manages the harvesting contractors, harvesting systems and health & safety onsite. He has always worked in forestry and has over 25 years' industry experience. Past roles have included working in silviculture, cable harvesting, ground based logging, harvesting supervisor, and foreman of hauler and ground based crews. Aaron's hometown is Dargaville and he works out of the office there. Aaron is married with six children. When time allows, he likes fishing, playing golf and riding motorbikes.

Andrew Hewett

Job Titles:
  • Forest Supervisor / Kerikeri
Andrew oversees establishment, silvicultural and tending operations. He has over 40 years' experience in Northland covering all aspects of forestry from land preparation through to logging supervision. Andrew was born in Kaikohe has been living in Northland since. Andrew is married with four children, all grown up and moved on. In his spare time, he enjoys all types of fishing all around Northland and the odd bit of metal detecting.

George Dods

George has over 35 year's industry experience. He plans and manages all establishment, tending and protection operations. Originally from the Bay of Islands, George now lives in Whangarei. He and his partner have two children and three grandchildren. In his spare time George is a skilled fisherman and, on occasion, an unskilled golfer.

Gordon Morrison

Gordon doesn't say much about himself but enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and two grandchildren.

Michael Woollam

Job Titles:
  • Forest Supervisor / Dargaville
Michael looks after silvicultural and tending operations in pine plantations. He holds silvicultural tickets in planting, pruning, thinning and plotting (Pa, Qa and Marvl). He has over 20 years' experience in silviculture and ran is own silviculture business for 13 years. Born and bred in Dargaville, Michael still loves the area and has a house on the family farm in Te Kopuru .

Neil Geerkens

Job Titles:
  • General Manager / Kerikeri
Neil oversees operations and business development. He has spent his entire career in forestry covering a wide variety of roles from site supervisor and business analyst to log procurement and forest manager. In addition to his practical experience, Neil has a Bachelor of Forestry Science, a certificate in NZFEI Harvest Planning and a National Certificate in Forest Health.

Renée Nilsson

Job Titles:
  • Woodflow & Distribution Manager / Kerikeri
Renée has been with us for the best part of 20 years and handles wood flow and distribution. In addition to her considerable experience, Renee holds a NZCD (Survey). Originally from Christchurch, Renée moved to Northland in 1985. Renée lives with her husband and dog Evi, and enjoys travelling and reading.

Sharyn Brown

When not busy looking after the crew at NFM, Sharyn is often seen around Northland at various swimming competitions as she is actively involved with the BOI Swimming Club. Sharyn also loves fishing in the Bay with her family.

Tracey Wheeler

Job Titles:
  • Business Services Support Officer / Kerikeri
Tracey is all about the detail and she keeps a close eye on Health & Safety which includes everything from updating the database and incident reporting to organising training and audits. She also handles client and contractor file management and assists with marketing. Tracey can turn her hand to almost anything and past roles have seen her assisting with creating product manuals, logistics of exporting /importing equipment and co-ordinating teams to commission equipment internationally. Tracey grew up on Great Barrier Island and absolutely loved it. She did her final year of study at Kerikeri High and after some years away, returned to the area in 2016. Tracey likes to stay active and loves being outdoors and especially at the beach. She keeps fit playing tennis and squash and running around after her daughter. One day she hopes to cruise Cuba in a vintage car.
